I'm now sure if you're aware of these, but here they are. I DID use the money cheat to get so far, by the way:
1) When developing your manor (which, by the way, looks abso-frickin'-lutely amazing), when you get to a certain point of upgrade, if you talk to George about new projects, he'll say something like "We need the ???? to wrap the whole thing up", which will cost an arm and a leg. After resting a day or two and getting the message that George has finished his project, you find that it didn't do anything...except stop you visiting your manor. When you choose to visit your manor, you instead get a random interior from one of the buildings in Blackwater. Trying to exit using the door puts you back in the same interior. It is very dark and lonely in there.
2) After the ???? 'upgrade', there is a series of later upgrades. They cost successively more with each one and, like the ????, don't do anything except waste money. Well, no, I lie: they change the scene that you get when visiting your manor. You still can't go outside, and therefore, you cannot make use of most of your manor's services. If you tab out, you can still inspect your barracks, manage your garrison, go to your manor house, and rest. Unfortunately I saved after getting the faulty upgrade and cannot go back to visit my manor. That's a shame because the village and castle really are very nicely done. Try looking around when it's foggy out, and you can just see the battlements and towers in the distance through the fog. Amazing.
3) Every interior in Blackwater is very dark, but other than that they seem to work fine.
4) Maybe I'm not looking hard enough, but I can't seem to find Laura or the entrance to her room to buy horses for my NPCs. I see Pip, but not Laura, and no building entrances.
5) Maybe I'm still not looking in the right place, but I can't find the church after having it built.
6) The guard towers are inaccessible, but I imagine you knew that.
7) Dark Hunters are still gay. Seriously. I hate them, for so many reasons. But it WOULD be very cool if you could expand the Dark troop trees, like in Extra NPC mod (or whatever it's called now). It certainly makes fighting them a more feasible endeavor when not every member of the Dark party is a mounted invincible powerhouse. Or maybe I need to turn the difficulty down.
