Different Recruit Names

In Warband, I have started my own faction out of what used to be the Swadians. I went to bolster my ranks with some new recruits, and they were all Swadian Recruits. I would like them to be Nod Recruits, Nod being the name of my kingdom. Or whatever your kingdom is called. I was wondering, does anyone support me in this?

No, I don't like the Nod. I want to be the Don!
So I give you 0 support.

LOL

No, but seriously I understand what you are saying.
It takes some serious modding but you can make it so your faction has its own troop tree.
I believe some other people have done that, or at least could tell you how.
Try the caravanaseri and the forge subforums.

I know there's a mod which changes recruits from towns to be recruits from the controlling faction instead of the town's original faction, however I don't know how that would work with a player faction unless you had your own entire troop tree.

Not that I know anything about modding, but wouldn't it be relatively easy to change just the name Swadian Recruit to Nod recruit? I.e. keep the troop tree but rename the troops to whatever faction they're held by?

Ha, I was going to say that. Although I always name my factions in space games the "United Earth Directorate" so I guess nerdy references to other games are kindof a staple.

I completely agree, that's what I was thinking of.

The only problem you run into there, Is the fact it will always be like that, i.e. if you start a new game, the swadians will be recruiting Nod recruits.

Although it does surprise me they wouldnt make that changeable value.  Considering this is a completely text based dialogue system, There are alot of things im suprised are not changeable in game.  Such as changing city/town/castle names.  Thats standard fair in alot of Strategy games (total war/Civ/rise of nations), Im still rather new to the game so forgive me if there you can do that and I just missed it.

Just change the name of the troops in the Troopeditor.

Edit: Whats the status?

That mod has made it so that the areas you control produce player-faction troops. If you actually want to have a faction troop tree you can go into one of the troop editor and change/make troops for the player faction.

I think it is only compatible up to v1.105, as something in 1.113 and up changed the coding of the game so that it didn't work anymore and the modder has not updated it.
