Die by the Sword - HEEEELP!

Right, I just downloaded Die by the Sword from FilePlanet, installed, and tried to play it.

But it crashed almost instantly.

It didn't even start, just black screen, then "WinDie stopped working" or its English equivalent.

Plxz to be helping me!

Well the game is old as hell, so your computer may have compatibility issues, or the download was in some way or another corrupted. So you might first try re-downloading.

Warning in advance, that game is hard as ****. You WILL die repeatedly with little or no satisfaction until you finally hack down that stupid fking kobold that just shanked you in the ass 20 some odd times finally bites the dust.

Might try checking for patches, one of them may fix a compatibility issue.

Search Rlapi.dll, DL it, then put it in the relevent folder.

I tried, but there was only one hit, and it was from a description of the same patch, saying that "Rlapi.dll must be in the folder" or some ****.

I believe FilePlanet tricked me.

The meager portion of files I got can hardly be a complete game.

Perhaps it's the demo.

Come to think of it, I think it said something about demo, I just didn't want to believe it, I think.

It might not be piracy for you; if you all ready own it, but if someone else doesn't own it and downloads it...guess what? OMG its piracy.

It doesn't matter if it's old, did the creators state anywhere that yes you can download their game for free, or how about the people who published it? (even if their company(ies) are dead they still own the rights to it)

On your 3rd statement...you don't make friends that way, in fact it creates more enemies than you expect.
