Thanks Weltonia for your post, because I've recalled something.
The gay issue is spread out mainly by women. Why? Because the don't understand one thing - the true male friendhip. It happens during hard times, mainly during war time. I think it comes from very ancient times, when men in army started to chose partners to protect and help each other. Such behaviour unbeliavably increases chances to survive for themdand this fact is commonly known and some armies even encourages this (as I know american army). Of course, in some cultures (Greeks) it had also sexual background, but it came mainly from society than from gayness. There were some cultures not supporting homosexuality (ancient Germans known to be formidable warriors) with very similar processess.
Again - not every male friendhip has sexual background. It is rather forgotten, spread by genes, war behaviour than anything else.

Its down to our pack instincts i beleive, men form a bond in those situations and its very rarely down to homosexuality, it is in the gene's and its pretty damn clever really we all know sticking together gives you a better chance of survival and of course men have a instinct to be protector's, even to protect other males wich often leads to the whole "jumping infront of a bullet" thing.

See no one calls plankton and other small fish gay, but dont they have a tight bond and instinct to stay close when a giant whale comes to eat them?
