Yeah, even though JRR Tolkien was married and had children, when I was 12 or 14 years old and reading all of the LOTR stuff I really did feel uncomfortable with the old Samwise Frodo devotion. If it's joke it's really funny. Altough I've read some nonsense like this in so called serious newspapers.
But if it's serious... Well, we do go beyond healthy common sense, don't we?
I'm starting to be really sick of all so called psychologists claiming that everybody on this planet is gay or stating that if you are high above average person, artist, scientist etc., you MUST be gay. It's really cheap and stupid way to heal complexes. And hands off Tolkien please! (Well, maybe Trilogy has some gay colours, but not this scale).
I would recommend to see polish movie "Seksmisja" (Sex mission). Although it touches littlebit different matter - women, conlcusions fit here as well. But I know there is little chance for you to even meet it on VHS (it's old movie)

im with matrix, there is far too much pyschological bull**** going around about being gay, basically everyones gay.

If you dont like gays your over compensating, if you do like gays your curious and want to find out about gays, its ****ing ridiculous.

As for lotr, the only characters i feel might be gay is sam and frodo. But even then people mistake the bond men get when in war situations for gay love, when really its closer to brotherly love.
