Did the developers test the game at all?

I'm just curious to hear from the dev team, because if they would've played the game for 10 minutes themselves they would have seen how broken it was.

Did you not have the time to just run the game once for yourselves to see that it was not good enough to be released?

they claimed to have not run into any bugs while they were testing which i felt was complete bs and a lie. shameful display

No, this is ridiculous. I spent 10 dollars up front hoping that I would have a fun game to play when I bought it. If you are going to charge full price for a game, it's inexcusable to not be sure if it's in a playable state. I could have saved my money and waited for a sale when the game could have been fixed, or maybe not bought it at all.

Most initial releases are buggy, but Taleworlds and the Brytenwalda team are actually fixing the bugs unlike some other companies that come to mind.

Not to mention, the bugs mean they actually added new features. Non-buggy mods and DLC's usually are the ones that make the least feature upgrades, and I can assure you after playing and watching a few LPs after crashing that there is a massive upgrade in features over Native. That's not to say bugs should be there, but that does say that there is something happening under the hood that if you would just wait for a patch you might see.

So calm your tits.

The story that was posted was that bugs weren't present for testing and many of the issues were a result of the warband patch released earlier the day VC was released.

That seems reasonable however there are some bugs/issues that seem to be design issues and not just performance/missing textures/glitches (such as the Northvegr and Dane lords never campaigning/crossing over).

My speculation is there probably was not enough testing that involved playing single playthroughs for long periods of time since the bugs/design issues that can't really be explained by the patch seem to be the type easily missed in smaller segmented testing.

Are you trying to make this god-awful release sound good?

Put away your teenage edginess for a second and think about it, the developers released a game that was not fit to be released and completely misled their customers. In under no circumstance is it excusable

A teacher of mine once said "before you try to blame this one me or someone else, look in the mirror." Those are words of wisdom.

Yes, save more.

In any case, this thread now goes on my ignore list, I am sure the developers have heard enough *****ing; I sure have.

Yes, it's my fault I paid money for a game that is completely broken. I'm the one in the wrong here for complaining about a game that should not even have been released.

time to stop posting kid.

you're a couple days late for the rage train

the games WAS actually playtested by a team of trained walruses, and they are working on fixing it right now.

patches have been coming out every few days since release so hopefully it'll be 100% in the next few months

I don't know where you live but $10 is the cost of lunch where I'm at.  I'd hate to see what you'd do if your lunch wasn't made just right. . .the electrical costs just to run your computer may bankrupt you.

The developers have already told us there isn't a good excuse for the issues.  I know its frustrating because we're all excited to play the game, but please don't act like you mortgaged your house.  Put it into perspective.

Complain a bit more and maybe it will fix the problem

Maybe not complain, but please report any issues you might have.
Either in the support board so we might help you:
http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/board,376.0.html

Or report bugs:

It's fine to show your discontent, but it won't actual help us if it's not in an organised manner.

This is clever and i think too that the Byrtenwalda team developed the DLC as a part time job with people from many countries, just my opinion after all the thing i read. The naval battles are an amazing feature for exemple and it seems that army battle syzes have been gretaly improved, i'm disappointed too and i don't play it much, cause there is at the same time awesome new features but stupid errors especially in design and some gameplay lack, but i'm pretty sure that DLC will get a second life for years in the future. For me it worth half of the price for now, but that not end of the world.
