Anybody got Diablo II and the expansion?
Only reason I'm asking because if possible I'd like to arrange a few games with members of this forum, to go destroy Mephisto, Diablo and Baal.

Any takers?

I've got it, but I've never played multiplayer. I also haven't played it in years, so I'd be really rusty at it.

Doesn't matter, it's just for a bit of fun. Multiplayer is great IMO. If you get back into it and need any help lemme know.

Well, I'm going on it now. If you want add my account just go on to multiplayer, enter chat and type /f a rev1lo and it should add me to your friends list. Then type /f msg rev1lo to send me a message and we can play together.

Somebody else tried this not so long ago. It didn't really happen.

That was me!

You, Morbo, myself and 2 other guys played through Act1.

(Christ Morbo. How long ago was that?)

Used to play this on Hamachi with some nice folks I met on GameFAQs but ended up being too busy and losing all my save games (laptop died). If I still had the save games and the time, I would definitely join up. Remembering how many rare/unique items I lost is discouraging me to start from scratch again.

Blizzard is trying to build a bigger fan base or trying to get their own into a bigger frenzy to maximize profits.

Which makes sense, what with them trying to make money and all. I think it's shaping up pretty well so far, though I haven't been following too closely.

Not really sure if that's sarcasm, but either why how else do you explain a release date given at Blizzcon, which they wouldn't **** up, being pushed back? It's a lot more than Dev issues and overly buggy gameplay.

No, I'm serious. Creating hype and expanding your audience are vital to selling a product. As much as I hate 4th Edition's dumbed down rules and complete lack of suspension of disbelief , I can't blame Wizard of the Coast for making it that way. There's more jocks and cheerleaders in the world than there are geeks, and grognards are even fewer.

I don't follow along that closely, so I'm not aware of the various delays. (I probably won't be able to afford to play it until the price drops by half anyways, so why bother getting excited?) Still, Blizzard has some high expectations, and then tend to try and meet them. I'm still mourning that WarCraft Adventures didn't make their cut, but I don't blame them for abandoning it either.

Blizzcon statements are about as official as Blizzard ever releases to the public, everything they say is thought-out carefully.
