Meh, changing this for a thread for cries of help! If you have anything needed help with DF, post here!

The explanation is quite simple, really; You've got a shoddy taste in graphics :P

Jokes aside, I'm liking the textures you posted. I never really played DF all that much, the horrible interface rejected me.

This one is the one I use.

Vader: I don't actually like that one all that much, dunno why but it didn't seem right
Same here. I prefer Phoebus' set over Mayday's. But those two are probably the best ones to chose from anyhow.

Also take a look at the tile- and graphic-sets in the wiki and customise it if you don't like certain things.

Apparently either I ****ed up in the downloading or the version ****ed up with adventure mode.

I go to a town and it doesn't take me even inside the town, never-mind the tavern- Usually I see buildings on the other side of a river that's a level bellow me and at least 7 levels deep.

That Lazy Noob pack is awesome, I like how it works. Its pretty easy to use.

EDIT: Stonesense will work with this, right? I was reading the post of the pack and it said all the greatest COMPATIBLE utilities.

Test and find out. I see no reason it won't though, graphics packs just change how things are displayed; all StoneSense interferes with is the memory of the game itself to take a dump of the level data.

I think I have a bug.

I've got ropes, even traded for some just in case, and still, it says when I'm trying to make a restraint for my war-dogs, that I need a chain. Do I build one at some workshop? I looked at the stoneworking and Carpenters workshops and their was no chain build option.

We already have enough threads about DF. Hell, you could go over to their website and look up all the answers you'd ever want to get. Hell, there's even a wiki covering everything. There's really no use for this thread. At all.

Don't ropes work just fine anyway?
Apparently theyre not for me because when I try and build the restraint it wont let use rope, and since I am just beginning I dont have what I need to make Chains right now.
