Devs, can you please remove time limit from Main Quest?

I was preparing myself to become independent and managed to build up my city and both my castles, get 3 parties together and amass quite a bit of wealth until all of a sudden out of nowhere I fail the Dragon Banner quest after 214 days of recieving it.

I went back to an earlier save and it doesn't even display a timer to let me know how many days are left for me to complete it.

So please TaleWorlds, could you just remove the time limit for the main quest altogether? It already took me a long time to get to where I was, and I was still only Tier 3.

Yes, most agree, not sure when / if TW will make the change.

There's a mod that allows you to become a Kingdom just be hitting F4.
