Attending this kind of event is a lot of work, but at the same time, we had a lot of fun! More than 500 journalists, YouTubers, streamers, and even fellow developers from other companies came to our booth in the 3 days that we were present at the event. It was great having the opportunity to show what we are doing and it was humbling to see everyone so excited about the game!

[/parsehtml]Read more at: http://www.taleworlds.com/en/Games/Bannerlord/Blog/75

I think it is awesome they've put a compendium of the best/most watchable videos in a blog so people who don't delve too deeply in the forums can still follow what happened/was showed other than two or three lazy streams, or watching the countless youtubers who now seem so interested in the game
ironhawk, I know you done *****in' about bannerlord for almost a year, I WATCHED IT. Resonant, you too, you silly bastard, you were quite a twat in some videos. Simo is the only true warrior who has constantly kept it butterworthy BANNERLORD WHEN (this is an "inside joke" because youtubers; like any good spoiled brat I get me news from social media)
And they are all analysing the same video over and over (and taking damn too long doing it).

It is great seeing they are sifting through questions and are going to answer them next week. It would be truly astounding if they could read the over 500 posts and answer the questions from monday to thursday, it would either show obsession, too diligent work (why spend 72 hours reading forums instead of developing gaem!?!111) or it would lead to disappointing answers. I think I speak for all when I say: give us elaborate and complete answers, not just some "yes/no" or "yes, we're doing that, we hope you'll like it." kind of answers. Take your time, and if required, delegate the answers to the appropriate people instead of relying it all on Callum and Armagan (Arman!).

Great Gamescom. I avidly watched all the videos released so far and will watch out for more as journalists drip feed them into youtube etc.
We are still working our way through all of your questions and have decided to dedicate next week’s blog to answer as many of these as we can.
Good choice.
I’m looking forward to next week's answers. It was great to see Armagan re-engaging on these forums, signalling that Bannerlord is entering its final phase of development. Here’s hoping for a release or early access in 2019 as suggested by more than one visitor to TW’s booth.
What NPC99 said. Really good seeing this activity!

In future

On a serious note:
2019 for EA
2020 for full version
Gotta agree with Arnulf. This is the likelihood of our release windows, given their work. Not at all bad, for quality content. Really hoping they want to give us the release date AT MOST 3 months before the actual release. This would make one of those release windows full of hype and "wtf it's coming THIS SOON?!", it would also allow for a great build up of expectation, instead of a whole semester dreading the days that barely pass by as the light at the end of the tunnel crawls toward us at the pace of time.... But they are the professionals, and this is merely a personal opinion.

Vai ter Tradução PT Br ?
I offer my full services to TaleWorlds for a Portuguese translation and revision. I am a licensed professional, might I add... (I'm not joking) And I have a true passion for the subject to be translated (historical, fictional and Mount&Blade-wise), which leads to more accurate (and perhaps less expensive) work.

So... very impressive indeed !
We had quite some new footage and information more than in half year of blogs more or less.

The good thing is that the game seems fleshing up quite well and much of our expectations are already met .

That mystery about late game to be further developed is intriguing me...

The late game getting somewhat flat was one of the main issues that warband still had , if we want to be honest.

So I wouldn't mind some boosting .

This leaves us in the doubt that there is SOME time left before the game is finished (as to say "soon").

I wonder if among the options to add could be building a settlement from scratch in a random place the player can choose . I mean not in a preexisting spot but just some spot in the map ....

The only other thing I could think about, that would revolutionary totally , would be exploring the sea ....

Footage, yeah it was good, but nothing this blog provided, we have had that for over a week now. Indeed the same things just repeated itself late game in Warband but it didnt make me stop playing. And with all Bannerlords features,I could go on for even more. Or maybe make it a challange to complete the game fast?

Building own settlement wouldn't make sence. Especially not gameplay wise. It is nothing I would like to have in Native bannerlord, but I am sure mods will make it, since we already had it for warband.

What goes for exploring the sea (as we have seen in viking conquest, and plenty of Warband mods, the devs said we would get this but at a later date. Probably as a dlc.

I am not bored of playing Warband because all sandbox games were repetitive in late game

Settlements works in mods same for naval warfare

First if all: I LOVED Warband and I am eagerly awaiting Bannerlord. I hope you guys take all the time you need, but at the same time I hope that I'll get to play this gem of a game as soon as possible!

I have one critical question regarding Bannerlord though: Will the Colors of the Factions (meaning the literal colors on the Map) be adjustable/changeable? Or will Bannerlord have a colorblind-Mode?

The reason I am asking is, that I am Red-Green-Colorblind, as about 6% of the male population are. In Warband for example I couldnt play as Rhodok or as Swadic, because I just couldn't differentiate them. In tournaments aswell, the Red and Green teams (at least I am assuming that they have those colors) were not distinguishable for me.

As you can see, these are no minor Problems and can lead to a lot of frustration while playing the game. And since colorblindness wildly differs from person to person (i.E. I can't really tell the difference between purple and blue, while other people mayB can't differentiate yellow and bright green) I think the best Solution would be a feature where you could just change the colors to your liking.

Thank you in advance for the Answer!

Edit: This could be a good question to answer in next weeks blog aswell!

Well isn't it one of the most beautiful things in the world? As we all can watch together as this game is getting the finishing touches?
If they already told it to us then I forgot, but it surprised me that you can change the blocking direction of your shield.

Yesterday my net provider could solve his problem! I am back! I have 2 weeks of content to watch

Questions... uh... one thing:

Skill: Tracking. With this, you can see farther on the campaign map.
I don't know how to put the question into words, somebody might do this for me. If a party is behind a mountain, and your Tracking skill is high enough, you can see their contour. How moddable is this feature? Since it exists can we convert it into the battle map too? As an ability to see through walls, for a fantasy mod.

As a matter of fact, you can edit the factions.txt file in order to change faction colours. Nevertheless, a colorblind mode would be welcomed, as I've got a similar issue too.

My whole life has been a lie

I hve watched only 2 15 minutes spells of videos from gamescom, so I might have missed a lot, but the general gist of things for me meet and exceed my minimum requirements for bannerlord. I expected warband with better graphics, animation and battle size. So I got that plus streamlining of many tedious tasks, better recruitment mechanics, some new, yet unseen quests, faster equipment screens etc. I think I will have loads of fun with the game when it comes out. This is still mount and blade. You still pass your enemies with high speed on your horse and cut them like a wheat with a sword. This feeling is unmatched by any other game I've played

I am sure most of issues I have will be ironed out by mods (mainly poor AI on battlefield). After all, diversity is one of hidden powers of this game

As everyone I wish game was already here, but cmon, no need to get too excited. At the end of the day, this is just entertaiment.

Thank you so much for allowing people to play and upload the playthroughs on YouTube, you really get a feel of the game. One thing that I believe would be awesome for immersion would be to allow for more than one spouse or romantic partner and maybe even allow one to have a partner that's not of noble lineage, let's be realistic here. Also, more optional complexity to the family trees and interactions with other characters would be quite cool. Keep up the great work!

Another devblog with no information about gameplay, what shame. I sincerely not care for graphics and immersion, but battle size not will be so much, I suspect around 800 because game not is as Total War regarding battles.

I disagree. It's not breaking exclusive news, of course, but it was an informative blog for anyone following the development, but who does not follow the hundreds of threads in the forums. Thus, it is news for many, just not not for us, who are the passionate butterlords vying for the attention of the Devs with our assumptions, desires, suggestions and dreams. The Devblogs are not in any way, shape or form designed to only showcase novelty stuff from the new games, they are a medium of communication between the development team and the consumers, about any subject related to the game, not only "look at this new feature we haven't mentioned ever before!" every week. This is why so many feel the blogs are disappointing most of the time, they want novelty, and there's only a limited amount of stuff they can show. It's a fine line between showing too much and making the game boring before you even play it, and showing too little that the community gets angry. And sincerely, this community has been shown to be angered by the slightest of things... In my opinion, TaleWorlds pampered fans too much, many act like spoiled brats sometimes...

Can y’all explain more about family/clan dynamics? Very briefly touched upon, but I’m sure we would like to know more. I was especially interested when it was mentioned that you can pick up the campaign as your son, and when it was said that your brother can hold forts or command forces for you.

Gamescom stuff was really nice. I think only some details and polishing left to finish the game. By the way this guys are working even it is national holiday in Turkey  I read in interview which made with with Armagan Yavuz that they are working 80 hours per week. I hope you can give some early access or beta as soon as possible as you mentioned in an interview.
I wouldn't put my hopes up if I were you. This game has been said to be released in some form of EA too many times already over the years, and so far, nothing happened.
To me I take it with a whole pot of salt anything said by TW, I suspect that this pseudo-announcement was just to stall, bring in more hype and gain time. Which is unfortunate, but has been the sad reality of both the company and BL for at least 5 years.

I don't want to says but sincerely I lost my "interest" in BL because I can't wait as a mad for a game with 6+ years development instead I prefer to play Warband than spent time waiting Bannerlord. Don't hate me for this thing

80 hours per week and EA coming soon? Sounds too optimistic
