But in level design, the word has a different meaning. There, a scene is more like a scene in a pen and paper roleplaying game, where the dungeon master defines the space (say, a tavern), the context (bustling with people because there’s a huge storm outside), and the most relevant information game-wise: where the exits and entries are, what the important NPCs are doing… The narrator doesn’t actually write what the characters are saying or will say: what they do is create a space full of possibilities to play with.

[/parsehtml]Read more at: http://www.taleworlds.com/en/Games/Bannerlord/Blog/88

When it comes to towns they become a little more complicated, as we have to include areas that players can reach and explore, such as taverns, shops, blacksmiths and arenas. We also have to make these scenes siegeable, and of course, these scenes can be upgraded, so we have to ensure that they can be assaulted at each different upgrade level (1-3). On top of that, if we get some new update or revision that changes something, then naturally, these larger scenes take longer to fix.

So fight in the streets after walls are captured, right?

Rushed blog pt2 indeed. I don't like making these comments since I love this people anyways.

To be fair last week's article was going to be hard to top. The seasons gif was cool but overall this article left me wanting more. The art shown did look very good and I appreciate the work that went into it. I just feel like it's along the lines of things we've seen before.

I come here week after week after week and all anyone really truly wants is a slightl little word on a possible beta or possible goal for the release od this game....i know they dont want to because its not even close and they dont want people to turn away and say ill just come back then....but i don't think thats what will happen most of us love this series and it would make me enjoy these topics a little more....doesn't mean we want the game rushed by any means

Thanks for the blog!

Have a question for the blog . Do you have the opportunity to lay out a 30 minutes walkthrough once a month? It's easier for you to do than a blog, and the fans will be just happy. During the passage of the game you could describe some of the mechanics, show beautiful scenes and much more. You, as always, want to leave the "sweet" for later ... But unfortunately we don’t know after how many years the game will be released and I don’t want to watch the next 3-6 years. Please give more videos.

P.S. I did not want to offend anyone and I am very bad with English...

Please those who like me since 2012 waiting for the game support me. Put a "+".

It was good to hear that they are working on updating the scene textures. That should address some of Jacobs worries

creating various scenes, including villages, towns, castles, battlefields and arenas. I make use of historical references and geographical locations to assist me in this.

While creating terrain for the scenes, I tend to import projects from World Machine (software that creates realistic terrain formations) directly into our scene editor, or, on some occasions, I will use photogrammetry to provide me with a starting point

I'd love to be able to recreate a real-world location for a battlefield scene. How easy would it be to import topographical data to the scene editor to use as a starting point? Would it require a third-party programme like the one mentioned?

It is not the same castle, however it seems that the aserai's castles are being finished...

Well, at least there is no "Work in Progress" water mark anymore. Unless they just forgot to add ofc.

Yeah I just noticed that both gifs are from the same scene.
