This is something we have some experience with from our previous title, Mount & Blade: Warband, so we are fully aware of the value of including our community at this stage of development. Our preparations have been proceeding quite nicely and we thought it would be a good idea to share what we have been up to in this period.

[/parsehtml]Read more at: http://www.taleworlds.com/en/Games/Bannerlord/Blog/116

Huh...

It is true that the statement shines incandescently because of its high level of controversy. Having said that and with the foil hat on the head, can that statement be strictly linked to the MP nature of the game and not to "the game" itself?

An official clarification would also be welcome... :iamamoron:
I don’t think this is the case. Multiplayer, at least on warband and wfas was quite devoid of features and content. It was, simply put, thrown together, it doesn’t take that much time to develop I don’t think. The single player, the side with gimmicks, features and content is the one that actually needs to be developed quite a bit, it’s rather obvious that single player takes much longer to make (look at the amount of single player dev blogs compared to multiplayer).

I’m no developer, but after classes and maps are made, there isn’t much else to multiplayer. But that’s just my take.

Maybe not in THAT way, but it will be great to see your vassals - those treacherous - conspire against your authority. It will force you to do more micromanaging and choose from those honorable ones.

Imagine: you can take every single lord as your vassal, what makes your kingdom almost indestructible, but you have to watch for yourself, because someone ,,trusted" can stab you in your back (a'la Brutus). But you can choose only honorable men, who never betray you, but your army will be significantly smaller.

I agree that SP is what I take longer, both because it makes sense, and they've told us as much by having a MP beta, while the SP is still lacking late game features.

However, they've clearly taken MP several steps beyond what we had in WB, from a lumped on feature to one of the main selling points, as they make a bid to make M&B into an E-sport. That combined with he fact that the quote in question was in a blog specifically about MP makes me wonder if that quote is actually in reference to MP. If so, I hopetm, as I said earlier, it's more of a "features and content have not been fully implemented into the beta yet" rather than, "we still have a long ways to go on finishing the features and content.

Either way, I do think this deserves some clarification, and the fact we haven't seen any yet gives me some cause for concern.

I don’t think they’ll give us any clarification at the moment. They have made these sort of things in the past but either didn’t say anything, callum made a comment or they mentioned it in a dev blog. But I think we will get clarification when gamescom happens, but probably not earlier.

"the game is far from feature and content complete" together with "its almost harvesting season" makes me confused. Its like they say "yeah we need a year or two more for completing the game, but it will be out by the end of this summer".
I mean WTF, im actually disturbed a bit . . .

After thinking about it a bit, as you just said piconi, they say it won’t be ready but they’ll release it soon could indicate an extended open beta, perhaps a year or so before it even releases. This could have positive effects, but it could also kill a lot of the hype before the game even releases. Maybe it will only be a multiplayer beta, or maybe they will “release” the multiplayer while still working on single player. Perhaps they’ll do a reverse mount and blade: only multiplayer, no single player, and then release the other in a new expansion/dlc/freelc/game like warband.

Oh come on, you should know how this works by now. Nothing out of the ordinary there, so no cause for concern.

Are there any updates for Bannerlords coming to Consoles?
No, but you shouldn’t expect it any time soon. It’s a very arguous and long process, and they’re still trying to finish the game. It won’t be until a few years after release.

I would assume so, but i haven't heard anything official. Obviously alot has changed since 2016, but initial chatter at that time was was they were going to be released at the same time and i have yet to here anything from taleworlds.

I started playing M&B when it came out on PC back when i had my toshiba laptop with windows XP. going to college(still runs fyi)

I was glad to see it come to Console since that is were if been gaming for the past 8 or so years there are clans and battles still going on even though they have never patched or updated since original version.

It would be nice to hear more for fans who are older and now playing this game with there kids on console and still holding out hope as well.

-But if they are still years away from bringing it to console, I will then have to return back to the land of milk and honey.

There is a chance for a beta for the former tester of the Polish version Mount & Blade: With Fire & Sword (work in CD Projekt, at that time, not yet RED) and one of the creators of The Deluge?

Normally I would not ask, but...Damn it, it's about Bannerlord

hello everyone. what about adding time in the battle mode? i mean if you start fighting with someone and so when you finished it is night.
