Seriously? What a **** disappointment. Give us real info [Insults/Flaming removed]

Wowie. I thought this blog was rather funny, as it clearly is poking fun at forum members. Aggressors deserve to be made fun of when it comes to things like Taleworlds making a game we all know we will love, despite the constant bickering here on the forums. I mean, if one was to take seriously the whole segment about stones, then I must admit I feel a bit sorry for that person. That was a glaring joke.

I will admit this blog and the one before last are a bit boring as I, and many others, have been playing M&B forever, so this is nothing new. Abnd I don't doubt new gamers would find this info trivial at best, but your post is not only aggressive and low, but it serves no one. And there are better ways to vent your rage, like playing 7 Days to Die on console, or other games that were released before they were actually playable in the long term. Me, I'll patiently wait for this game to rock my socks. (GET IT?)

Disappointing.

Over 6 years development, and we have rocks.

Over 6 years development and we have same weapons as warband.

I don't understand how people still are waiting for this thing. 2 years ago it was announced, and 6 in development and content you give us is about the same weapons as warband. If i remember correctly, we had slings there.

How is it possible? Where is something new that is not repeated over again. In trailer we saw brand new mechanics and graphics and in blog we saw them again. Did interview everyone, discussed almost everything what is in warband.

You are being mocked on reddit, steam, and even here. Do you even read whatever people try to say? I was right when i said that Kingdom come: Deliverance would come out sooner. They even patched the half game and delivered brand new content.

Why would you even make this blog? ' "Our medieval battle game contains various forms of ranged weapons, such as BOWS (WOW!), JAVELINS (OMG REALLY?), CROSSBOWS!! (WHAT!! NO WAY!!!), " etc.' This is what the whole steam is filled with.

I believe that this game won't live to the hype, the hype died with every blog. At least you should have waited for the announcement till the game was at least somehow finished. 6 years scratching balls...

Maybe they added flails under mace class, slings under rock class.
Or they took 6 years to remove darts: darts aren't javelins or daggers.

Presumably rocks as ranged weapons, which take up a weapon slot are different from the bigger siege defence rocks, which are picked up from prop piles and dropped through murder holes. In the siege defence video, a hand symbol hovers over the rock pile indicating they can be picked up. That suggests that jars of oil we've seen thrown through murder holes in siege videos will also have to be picked up from prop piles - so unusable as a battlefield ranged weapon.

No flails or ball and chain. Callum confirmed this awhile back in a comment regarding the cloth system and it’s potential to be used for flails. At least Taleworlds has no plans to implement flails.

https://www.taleworlds.com/en/Games/Bannerlord/News/103 It was announced when they probably started the concept art, but I agree with what you said, pretty much all of it.

And to you guys who are telling people that don't like these blogs that "Now they do it weekly compared to when they didn't post anything!!!", I would rather have them not post any devblogs if they are all going to be this... interesting.

You see, I thought waiting for ~3-4 months for a blog was long but it was kind of worth it. When they showed gameplay it was amazing, which doesn't happen too often. And the info was at least interesting enough to not cause anything bad in the forums, except the occasional "Release Date pls" posts.

I mean, at the moment the only reason I check these blogs is to see what jokes people come up with on these blogs.
The *only logical reason I see* for them to do these general blogs is that they want new people to take a look, etc, which means they want to build up the "first buyers", because it's coming soon. I am speculating, but i do not see ANY reason for them to pump out blogs like these (take camels, and these two weapon blogs), when they could've just compiled them into a single blog that would've been more substantial.

So.. yeah, I hope you guys understand what I am trying to say (I might have not expressed it well enough in English). At this rate however, if my speculation is wrong, (Which it probably is, unfortunately) we will see that meme blog that someone told us about years ago. I am referring to:

Devblog: 586: Butterfly rendering

Just to be clear: we put "no offense", and "just a joke" after our throwing stone jokes in the beginning. We were not laughing at Taleworlds, nor were mocking them. At least me.

I am a bit sad about the blogs, but I still support TW in their work, I don't give them up, nor the waiting.

Callum, devs, take your time, and Thank You for Every blog you gave us so far! I am looking forward to the next one too.

and fighting against enemies wearing mail and gambeson is actually a challenge

well plate will likely be rare (if exists at all) as the game is about 200 years before Warband timeline (and about 6 to 12th century on our timeline). So enemies with mail (also know as chainmail in popular culture) wont have the same level of protection as in Warband. Xbow should be quite lethal as well.

--image snip--
actually mail is fairly decent against arrows and bolts. Just look up some tests against riveted mail. Pretty much anything besides a longbow can be stopped if not by mail then by the gambeson.

The way some people are acting so dramatic about some weekly blog is honestly surprising.
You guys need a break for a couple months to calm down.

Well, at least PR is getting payed to deal with this

To be honest, pretty much the only interesting thing about it is the accuracy differences between throwables/that the accuracy stat likely also applies to them.

Man I was concerned. I didn't think rocks were going to be in Bannerlord and I was freaking out. Now however, I can rest at ease to know that my peasant play-through of the game can be done knowing that rocks are now in the game. Thank you so much for this blog. *whew*  ... Seriously these blogs are getting more vague each week. Give us some decent content that isn't blatantly obvious. Maybe more about the map, trade(covered slightly), companions, anything that we don't already know through basic knowledge.

,,(gameplay should always trump realism!)"

And another hit in tha face against some realism-thirsty guys.

,,...we know that some people would like (or even expect) to see arrows and bolts bouncing off thick armour and helmets (...) However, we think that this simply isn’t fun for anyone playing as a ranged unit..."

That's right, it's not World of Tanks.

And people, please... stop crying about release date, gap fillers etc, etc...
I remember, when TW didn't gave us even a smelliest info about the game, so appreciate, what you have, because they could simply be quiet.

,,Give them a finger and they'll want whole hand" - perfect words to describe your behavior guys...

+1

Point of the blogs is  not hype, it is an attention for the community. While i agree content shared is kinda numb, (a blog with just a few dev modeling may be ok or interviews were great-but even people were saying i dont care who is working etc.) i dont support false expectations. Compare blogs with raido silence of 4 months,  i started to think if people would continue to whine anyway why share a blog, let them do the work.

I still don't get why peeps here are all the time so pissed and angry about everything. It's not the Taleworlds responsibility to provide anything to you. They can do with their game and company whatever they want to do, so please stop whining.

Wovon man nicht sprechen kann, darüber muß man schweigen.

These last two blogs have made me lose interest in the blogs. Why write about something we already know about from warband? Newcomers can surely research this anyway and certainly doesn’t require more than one blog.

Well keep in mind that there could be more blogs like the previuos 2. And while armor blog wouldn`t be as bad as bow crossbow rock blog, we could get a shield one

That`s right folks we have round shields, square shields , triangular shields and ofcourse oval shields

But surely arrows bouncing off heavy armour would be a good visual effect, even if they still do damage.  It wouldn't hurt gameplay, and it'd be a good visual cue to the archer that they're better off shooting someone else or are ready to use a lot of arrows.

Deeply disappointed in taleworlds. Ignorance is one thing, ****ting in your hand and throwing it at the community is another.

Think the most irritating thing is that i read on taleworlds homepage in 2016/early 2017 that release was expected some time under 2017..the least you can do now is give your fans a hint/expected release if all goes according to plan or explain why the delay?
