This means that there isn’t a linear storyline that you have to follow. However, the game does present you with quests that offer you a way to fill your purse while improving your relations with the various notables located around Calradia.

[/parsehtml]Read more at: http://www.taleworlds.com/en/Games/Bannerlord/Blog/78

Personally I would have liked to see more complex branching quests along with more meaningful or unique rewards, however it seems that Bannerlord is not going in that direction.

That doesn't change the fact that I still would like to have items and or units that can only be gained over the completion of a quest.

An idea that literally just popped into my head, as a potential reward for a quest a character may not be able to provide a decent enough monetary reward and instead offers his father's old weapon (which has a randomly generated name).

This could be a reward for a quest from a village and might be a good way for a new character to get a semi-decent weapon.

Hey guys my first post here
Even though i have been reading about every post in the forums for the last 2 years.
...
While I'm not exactly a forum veteran myself I would still like to welcome you as you make your first post.

I want to have quests such as unite Empire or assassinate that stupid lady, maybe dynamic events as in grand strategy games as lords dies and children were born

in games come varity of quest was very low. all over the map quests was same just names was diffrent. terial by combat quest was rediclus you must visit so many mans just for a very quick battle.

for me i do not care much about quests being dynamic or not all what i want is them being fun and doesn't feel repetitive very fast like warband's quests.

All this talk about the quality of the quests, and here I'm just wondering if the name "Fishsauce" is going to be in the final release.

 hopefully, the component lists of Bannerlord’s random name generator can be edited to remove any that break immersion. For all I know, Nokan Fishsauce may sound natural in languages other than English.

a bit off topic and maybe too late anyway, but would you guys consider making some characters a little skinnier and less like burly thugs.

Bannerlord is way better hundred times than Warband which is a decent game(neither strategy nor RPG elements were not developed resulting in boring playthroughs for fans of both genres) primarily designed for arcade players. I agree with quests but Bannerlord taking a direction to more strategy-focused gameplay albeit combat system. Im interested by development but Im not a fanboy of game because is unreleased and we know nothing about it, I willl playing strategy games until BL comes out. I believe as my hope for seeing some improved strategy elements idecrease because game will be designed for casual, console and arcade plebs

The roleplaying was a big part of the fun in Warband. What's singleplayer without roleplaying?

Come on, they can't reduce the roleplaying. Bannerlord has to be at least as good as Warband in that regard.

it seems far more clear and simplier to find/take/follow/achieve quests. It also seems that we have far more quests than in WB. Good thing. You spoke only about "running game quests", but i hope we will still have a short beginning story line (longer than in WB) that we can follow if wanted when joining our first game(s). Good for immersion and good for new players.

For next blogs, i would like a lot to read more about IA. It's a really important "feature" in every games that you never really spoke in previous blogs. And we have seen strange behaviours of AI in videos from gamescom with bandits standing 2 meters from player throwing rocks without moving or trying to fight him closer... So please, make a blog on AI, and work hard on it if not already done

I like as they make gameplay more easier and more friendly with modern UI and encyclopedia(for example I want little details in game)

what seems cool to me is that i will visit town / villages to meet npc, take quests... but after a while, i will be bored of such features and will directly take quests on the screen menu.

Every one can choose how he wants to play, it's a cool feature for anyone i think.

I like newer games such as CK2, Attila and Bannerlord which make gameplay more easier and more friendly completed with awesome graphics and mod manager

Feels quite empty and not satisfying

i wonder what you expected. all blogs in last year was like this one.
Hmm lets see. The Campaign map blog, the Recruitment blog, the Castles blog was quite interesting, I also liked the Battania blog, also the QnA's to name a few. I expected something more interesting. Most of these things in this one were probably known already. But I get it, maybe they now want these blogs to be informative especially to new fans who didnt play previous games and arent familiar with the mechanics

Maybe I'm a nostalgia junky, but I kinda like the generic quests in mount and blade , we must remember its not the main selling point . Let's just hope they finish the game quickly ,some of us are getting tired

I am bored of Warband and mods because game was too frustrating and grindy to me and I've found better and newer games. I will return to M&B only when Bannerlord is released

This isn't exactly true. I believe the player is given the option to jump right into the fight, but the judge suggests going to talk to the accuser and the defendant to hear both sides of the story first.

I can't says nothing because quests don't let me to be happy in WB. I hate have date limit - reason for which I return forever to grand strategy titles

Quests transfered from WB to Bannerlord - good  (done as we see)

Doubled quests diversity in Bannerlord - better  (let us hope so)

Tripled - excelent!   (better not if we do not want to wait another decade for this game)
