However, just as in real life, these actions have consequences. And while some of the more obvious actions may be engaging an enemy in a pitched battle or laying siege to a castle, in this week’s blog, we focus on some of the more unconventional options that players have at their disposal.

[/parsehtml]Read more at: http://www.taleworlds.com/en/Games/Bannerlord/Blog/115

What about criminal actions on towns?
I have red somewhere that I can beat local bandits on the streets and take their place and I am sure it was about Bannerlord

We know relatively little. Here is the available info compiled.

As you can see, I never said anything about husband or wife but the Lords you have good relationship will raid your village if your faction is at war with theirs. I don't see what is immersion breaking here. Like the kings you have good relationship declares war upon on you as soon as when you self proclaimed yourself as a king since it is only logical thing to do and this is just politics.

If your friends and lovers actively try to harm you, then they cannot stay as your friends or lovers forever, neither can the kings who declare war upon you. Mind you, THAT is what happens in real life. The developers have basically two options, they can either keep the relationship values intact and prevent them from harming you in any way, depending on the degree of your friendship, or let them do whatever they want at the cost of degrading the relationship between them and you.

I hope every gameplay mechanic would work the same way for both the player and the AI lords in Bannerlord. The lack of it has been a major issue with Warband's single player.

I know I’m late to the party (been away for business), but this was a pretty decent dev blog, all things considered.
First of all, I’m really liking the way raiding villages will work now. Thank god we can end the raid whenever we choose! I am, however, a little bit on the fence about the fact that you can lose relation points with your liege and influence points when raiding villages. It seems to me that during wartime, your liege would be all for raiding people, especially if you are with the Khuzait. I’m sure it comes down to a balancing aspect though, so I’ll hold back my judgement.
Also, coercing villagers to join you sounds really cool. I’m wondering if they will bring low morale into your party when doing so. I do think it’s odd that there’s no negative repercussions for backing down if they put up resistance. I feel like they should still be a little upset with you.
Lastly, you all need to stop complaining about small things like how big the cows are in comparison to the player on the world map. It looks fine, so stop giving them more ideas to prolong development.

The blog doesn't phrase it clearly, but there is this:

If you are not at war with the kingdom of the target, hostile actions are considered to be criminal acts and thus increase your criminal rating in the region.

I'd take that to mean that if you are at war, raiding is legal and won't have a negative impact among your own faction, everything else wouldn't make sense. There is still the loss of relation with the owner of the village though.

I hope that’s the case. It makes sense for this to be their intended meaning.

Oh, please. It's in closed beta right now.

Maybe not-so-closed BETA soon, according to Ali Erkin's latest interview :fruity:

Don't give false hype. All answers he gave in that interview is not revealing something new.
Ali: In truth, the ones who want the game to come out as soon as possible is us. We say this every time. Through blogs we will let the people know that the they can play the game at Gamescom. This news actually also makes us happy. Allah willing, this will also be great news for our players. We can't wait for all the players to play our game at Gamescom. After that, we will have a good look at our program. We will do all we can to make sure that the game enters its next stage.

I mean of course eventually it will enter next stage.

Ofcourse it is not false but he is answering questions regarding Bannerlord to be done with it(this is my interpretation of his body language).

Most revealing information is here. Reporter says "I understand you play around words and you won't let us know much information." Because he says everything in a pure formal way and then you realize he is not revealing something new he just said what he said to be done with it.

I think the people who have (reasonable) issue with this blog spread throughout the thread are all on the same page. This is the kind of stuff modders added to WB 6 years ago! I think what’s funny is that the most interesting information, at least to me, is the new looking roads and a bit of talk about village mechanics. I suppose the penalties for AI lords raiding is a big bonus, but yet again I don’t really see why I need to know that. It’s one of those things you see while playing a game (mod) and go “huh, that was pretty neat” and move on with your day. Then god forbid TW changes a minor feature they mentioned once in devblog 22, all the forum librarians will start raiding TW hq! :fruity:

I think the reason that the dev blogs have been quite lackluster in content, stuff we would assume, see when playing the game and not give it much thought (scabbards omg) is because they don’t want to give away too much of the game and the new mechanics.

I don't see how it's false hype to say that. And when the reporter said the part about twisting words Ali even said estagfirullah, which literally means "(Allah) forgive me". If he didn't want to do the interview, he just wouldn't do it right? I'm not going to speculate about how he feels inside.

I guess in two months we will see...for me at this point I am so accustomed to waiting that any new announcement will be a great surprise whereas the lack of one will not be a disappointment. After all, how many years have we been waiting? Seems like a decade.

Come on man. That word "estağfurullah" is something you would automatically say in that situation and also there is a language barier to translate that word usage to English, we don't use it to say God forgive me. At this point, I won't speculate further. Don't get me wrong, I also expect a big announcment at Gamescom(the release date, one can hope), but understanding that interview in that way doesn't feel right.

This really is the best course of action and I agree wholeheartedly. We are all waiting for that announcement where they say 'open beta' or 'to be released on (insert date here)'. Getting ourselves all wound up expecting something to be announced in 2 months will, quite possibly, lead to disappointment especially when it is only based on interpretation of body language and reading between the lines of what is said and not said

Calm down people and wait and see.

This is exactly why I don't want people to see that interview as a "big announcment".

so in essence everything the same as in WB+mods.
Now imagine what would bannerlord+mods be

2d0f72a123d9e1df831e6f2d60a80d84.jpg

bannerlord > [WB+Mod]1 + [WB+Mod]2 + [WB+Mod]3 + [WB+Mod]4 + [WB+Mod]5
[WB+Mod]3 > [WB+Mod]1 + [WB+Mod]5 > [WB+Mod]2 + [WB+Mod]4

bannerlord+mods > 10 years

Rxikvgx.jpg

The thing is; when doing the additions for indexes in such way in programming (you know the word in my language: Luftwaffe) we must reemember that sometimes such things go negative

Sp os possoble:
[WB+Mod]1 = -800
[WB+Mod]2 = -1
[WB+Mod]3 = 5,000,000,287,193,021.0000000037482984782
[WB+Mod]4 = 0
[WB+Mod]5 = 55

[WB+Mod]3 > [WB+Mod]1 + [WB+Mod]5 > [WB+Mod]2 + [WB+Mod]4 + [WB+Mod]3

!!!!

How dose that work, then?

Woill bonnerlord + mods > my birthday?   :fruity:

Deep in my heart, buried in layers and layers of annual disappointment, I keep the little hope™ that at Gamescom everything veiled related to the mechanics of the game will come to light. Taleworlds show us that there is a real harvest. For the time being:

We’re all in the same boat, Terco. But at the same time I genuinely hope that there’s still a lot about the mechanics that haven't, and won’t be shared with us. That feeling of discovery would be well worth the painful curiosity and anticipation that we all suffer through currently.
And rest assured, harvesting season WILL come. We’re just in a 7+ year drought....
