Whether providing logistical support or charging the enemy on the battlefield, horses proved to be invaluable assets in warfare. In this week’s blog, we will take a look at these elegant and powerful animals and discuss the improvements and changes we have made to horses in Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord.</p></br> [/parsehtml]Read more at: http://www.taleworlds.com/en/Games/Bannerlord/Blog/60

I really like the idea of horse's looks being more independent from its stats. I guess I'll spend more time shopping/looting for my perfect pony

Fingers crossed for being able to give it a name.

However, you won’t be buying additional horses just for these benefits anymore: when upgrading your troops to a cavalry class, you will need to provide them with their own mount (and if you read last week’s blog you will have a good idea of how to get a steady supply of these!).

Will this go for Khuzait cav as well ? Because every nomad has a horse because of his/her lifestyle.

That's a good point. Perhaps Khuzait recruits will come with their own low-quality horses, and you can upgrade them by giving them a charger instead of a saddle horse or something.

Can we name our horses? 'cause i don't want to through the desert on a horse with no name  :ohdear:

But in the desert, no one remembers your name...

Also, does that mean we can potentially end up with bunch of cataphracts riding on mules?

Yasssss! I want to conquer Calradia with a mule army! mwahahahaha

Also +KhergitLancer80, I suppose this is the end of our glorious forum revolt. Vive la revolucion!

No Courser?

I used that horse more than any other in my thousands hours of game play. Sad to see it gone.

latest

Edit : So , if we are gonna have to produce horses , will there be advantages of making a stable in Khuzait area than in an Aserai area? Maybe , will we be limited to certain types of horses?

That **** was op. Literally the only horse I used. Spirited courses (I found a champion courser once, got so happy)

Speed = win

These are my questions for Ali Eser:
WHAT DO YOU NORMALLY DO DURING YOUR DAY?
WHAT DO YOU LIKE THE MOST ABOUT BANNERLORD?
WHAT FACTION DO YOU LIKE THE MOST IN BANNERLORD?
WHAT DO YOU CURRENTLY WORK ON?
:shifty:

Good blog, with lovely pictures! Worth the waiting

Questions:

How hard was it to draw the concepts of villages/towns/castles?
There is a big difference between the artwork of each faction. Which culture was the hardest to draw, given the real world sources as helping points?
For which faction you had to search for the most resources, which had the less information about itself?
Was there a time, when you had to improvise in your artwork, due to the lack of information/resources to work from?
There are a lot more castle in BL, and three version of each. Which castle concept art, that you made, is your favorite? Could you show it to us? (I loooooove castles!)
What is your opinion about my sturgian banner ideas?  :shifty:

Note: did anybody notice that on the last picture the horse didn't have a mane?

I wanted to post it earlier but the dev blog came out eventually, and I ran out of time:

Maybe, there could be a feature for Khuzait. Like when recruited, they would already have their horses or when upgraded, supplying horses in Khuzait's territory would be so much easier than any other faction.

How much does this type of armor protect the horses?

Because I remember when i went to a "Corrida de Toros" the horse was using this:

and the horse got hurt

Two questions, if a productive enterprise is to be a supply of horses, does this mean we can do selective breeding to get a line we like?  Type and color that would be.

Second  is if not now, would it be something they would consider?

I think the horses would be breed in villages and into " mounts" in the productive enterprise same as grain would be produced in the village and turned into bread in the productive enterprise.  My uneducated guess would be that the type of horse depends on village location.  Eg. Vlandians only produce chargers and battanians produce mules/ hut horses etc.  We already know that the Aseri will get a "special horse"

It doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me that, say, desert horses would only be bred in the desert. Originally, sure, desert horses would only be available in the desert, but why limit it to that? You would have to own a horse breeder in every region in order to take advantage of all the different horses available. I feel the purpose of having horses with special abilities, and being able to breed/train them, would be for a faction w/out access to desert horses, say Vlandia, to get access to them, in order to take advantage of the bonuses in desert. Otherwise you would have to take a village in the desert in order to take advantage of the horses.

Callum I made the Turkish translation for you.
