If the Watchers have high tier light infantry and light cavalry units based loosely on the Empire aesthetic, I'm definitely going to say hello. It'll be interesting to see how the allegiances of the minor factions will affect the flow of battle.

In Warband, Lezalit talks about the ideal army having an amalgam from troops across the Empire fulfilling different roles. The Empire minor factions, when united and combined with a standard Empire force, seem to be along the lines of what Lezalit is talking about. Heavy cavalry, medium-heavy infantry and bows/xbows supplied by the Empire augmented by horse archer scouts, heavy Nordic infantry and high maneuverability light inf and cav for flanking.

When the civil war is complete and the Empire united, this force will be incredibly difficult to face regardless of the terrain. Cheers for the blog, bring on Bannerlord  :party:

Crowcorrecter will only be content when the game is released, it's installed and character creation is underway.
 
What is the maximum size of the cities?
Can we have Calradian Fire(Greek Fire) like defensive siege weapon for high tier walls?

Also love the "oldschool" art for its atmosphere, but i have to ask: what's with this artist's obsession with horses that have small lower bodies/legs?? I mean seriously, is it some medieval breed?

Early medieval horses were smaller then what you'd expect to see in most games/art as war horses aren't bred until later in the medieval period.

Check out Welsh Mountain Cobb, Dartmoor Pony and Icelandic Pony to get an idea of horses from Western Europe of around this period.

Particularly liked the the palace(?) hall picture, and the details about shock. Perhaps we will be able to portrait the cavalry more realistically.
Also, it seems we will be able to select which city will have a certain workshop. This is a great step towards the strategic selection of targets in a war for resources. 

Thanks heavens all factions are covered so that we can (hopefully) get some nitty-gritty about the single player.
 
Does anybody genuinely reads these with excitement anymore? I havent read their last 3 blogs, just looked at the images and closed the window. Give us a new gameplay video, this is retarded.
 
for those interested, light and darkness mod has a pretty nice combat morale system.

If you kill the leader, troops begin to lose formation for a while before regrouping.

Also Viking Conquest:
if you kill 25-50% in a short time, they begin to run away
 
What the hell, why have I never heard of this mod before ?

I just wateched a few video from Reformist on this mod. It looks soooo advanced compared to all others, PoP, Perisno, etc... And it dates back to 2013.
 
I hope the two handed lance has some serious place in the game. if it can't be "couched" or some equivalent then I'll want to see some significant improvment on charging stabs.


Also, does this mean I can use a pike on a horse?

Maybe breaking through blocks when moving fast enough.
 
Nice! My question is, will we be able to use character creation on the NPC Lords and such? I think this would be really awesome and have a lot of potential for humor. Also, will there be an option to randomize the map when starting a new game? I think that would make futures games a lot less stale and make it more interesting to play. (I know these might break the immersion, but there could be a separate setting so you would only use it if you intended to.)

not a dev, so not a official answer, but...

you can use modding to change your characters (include lords), if you want to. Nothing special here. Go crazy if you want to. That includes saving data from characters creator to use on NPCs.

doubt we will have a random map. However, this game is full of mods (just like at Warband) with new worldmaps and settings, so you won't be bored with one world.

If we compare current state of Blog policy with old blog policy (where Frank was there), current one is milllllions times better than old one. In past, we could get one blog in every 6 months, or maybe not. There was literally no one to communicate with anywhere. We were just wishing one dev to respond one forum thread randomly to hear something lmao.

So, if we are about the decide between the old communication policy of TW and new communication policty of TW, i would pick new current one without a blink.

But if it's possible, i would also like to see gameplay videos, and also one release year announcement. I am hundred percent sure that TW knows the year of game's release, whether it's 2019 or 2020 or 2021. They know it. Just tell us for god's sake, keep the exact date (month/day) to yourself.
