As you know, we created an engine from scratch for Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord. We had many goals when we started working on it, but three of them had top priority: of course it had to do what we needed in order to create a huge sandbox game such as this one, but it also had to be easily moddable, and on top of that, it had to be flexible enough to work on low-end computers. In this week's blog, we talk to Engine Programmer, Burak Dermanli, one of the people responsible for the engine and its optimisation for all kinds of computers.

[/parsehtml]Read more at: http://www.taleworlds.com/en/Games/Bannerlord/Blog/77

Was waiting for thiiis! Thanks, gonna read right now!

EDIT: Ah, Khuzait faction still going strong with devTeam, haha. Really devTeam's favorite (faction).
EDIT2: Nice read.

mods with magic will look amazing

and that warrior huh? He would put any adventurer to shame! Took an arrow in the knee? That is nothing!!!

Besides for the particle related things mentioned by others in the blog, it’s nice to see that characters are running/walking faster than before.

The shape of those blood puddles are pretty strange though, all uniform and the exact same shape pretty much.

Aww, thanks for answering my questions. Those tavern and particle things made me very happy. I have so many ideas of what kind of maps I would be doing when I get my hands on the editor.

It would be cool if I was able to rip the cape off from someone. It might be too much to ask tho.

Thank you for such a detailed blog and answers. It was much enjoyed.

That particle gif was really cool as well. Nothing like a proof of concept.
