<p>Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord is a bit different from other sandbox games. There are some in which the story isn’t linear, so you can more or less play it in any order while you explore the world. In others, there is no such thing as a broad story that encompasses the whole game, or if there is, it is less important than the world itself and its inhabitants: you are free to roam to discover them. What we intended to do with the original Mount & Blade, and what we are working hard to do even bigger and better in Bannerlord, is to create a game where you get to create your own story from scratch, where you make your own decisions and live through the consequences. In this week’s entry of our dev blog, we talk with one of the people responsible for creating this magic: Campaign AI Programmer, Ozan Gümüs. I am not an expert either. But recent research suggest that people were travelling a great deal more (and marrying people from far away lands) than it was previously believed. Two famous Danish girls from the bronze age (1300 BC) have just been tested. It turns out one is from southern Germany and one might be from might have lived in the northern part of the Czech Republic, in France or in Mid Germany.

There were both upper class/nobility. My point is of people travelled that far I'm northern Europe 1300 BC when the world was less developed, it does not seem unlikely that it would also have happened further south.

By the way, travelling long distances without visiting towns or castle is a good addition for the party morale. Very likely, this also have influence on npcs parties, right? This can solve ridiculous raiding choices of npcs.

I feel like that would be above the fourth button for what I assume is the quests. I would say its troop upgrades but, again, I think that would be the third button. Could it be a button for the character sheet? Maybe signifying 2 upgrades for the character?
I hope that NPC parties are subject to the morale drop of prolonged travel too. If some lord is determined to cross the entire map to raid my village because I wiped his party, he better camp at night or actively seek shelter in towns. It would be nice to be able to rest at villages as well (I know in Warband you can if you build a Manor).
Maybe camping will finally become a thing? I opens up the possibility for ambushes, sentry removal, and other random events!

Just to jump in the discussion I'm going to agree that this is a fantasy world and how fast people jump to get offended just to see a black person in a Roman faction, it's not a big deal people, just a different skin, if what worries you Its historical immersion take note that this is a screen and nothing else, we don't know where this person came from and that being given he could indeed be from another faction. It surprises me what some guy above said "white being washed from history" or something, since white culture has deleted most of the different ethnic important people that participated in their history, I as an Argentinian know this, since here they worked hard not only to murder most of their aboriginal soldiers that freed our country but also completely wash them from history, including black women who lead armies, who died in poverty because of their skin or status, I can give you names and more info if you're interested. I said this just for you to take note that even in the Roman empire there should've been more than one person of a different ethnical culture participating on their history, that have been deleted from their historical status.
will battanian troops, as they are more drawn to the wildlife, "survive" longer without negative morale when not visiting a town?

A thing I noticed at the devleoper-page: All 5 titles are listed as both MP and SP, although the original M&B is clearly not MP and NW is clearly not SP. I'm not sure if the "indie" and "simulation" tags are used correctly.

Losing the sandbox aspects destroyed the Total War series, check out Steam player stats, total war games have little replayability. Thankfully for strategic gamers we have WB .. and soon, BL ...

Oh dear, why is this blog devolving into an argument about race? Cam we for once not see skin colour and be happy that the game is coming along?
Also it wouldn’t be that out of place for an imperial faction that borders the Aserai to have a black/middle-Eastern general. After all a faction based on the byzantines should be culturally diverse just as the inspiration was.

I have moved to Warband because Total War games offers little replayability. I am not against if will be black-skinned men inBannerlord, for exemple in Warband we have Deshavi and Nizar
