Anyone got any idea as to what the "locked" tab in the top right hand corner of the first screenshot is?
Nobody does, TBA.
RIP.

That was exactly what I thought.

I think this is an official, canon answer to "Are Sturgians Nords?".

It seems they partly are.

By the as I always say in the blogs I love this game's interface and I care so much about it. Even I am not huge fan of multiplayer I excited by the class system. Good job!

For a game that thrives as a sandbox, this change is perhaps the single worst thing that has happened to Mount&Blade. Customization is more important than visually determining what class an opponent is. Without players being able to express themselves through their apparels and unique weapon combinations, I can imagine Multiplayer becoming a bleak experience for a lot of people.

Pros;
Everything the post mentions.

Cons;
Casual gameplay sacrificed.
Players cannot express themselves.
Gameplay will be limited to pre-defined classes and will stop creativity in terms of gear selection combinations.
Staying close to a friend in a crowded server will be virtually impossible because everyone will look the same.
Can't recognize a particular person who is perhaps dominating you, or you're dominating.

Isn't there a button named "Character Customization" to let players "express" themselves?

Class system is bad, no matter how good you present it. You should have never hired a Napoleonic Wars player to design the vanilla experience. Also, the baggy striped pants look bad, please make them monochromatic.

Good to see that Ulfhednar is with Sturgians now, 2 years ago it was a Battanian troop.

No uniform or weapon standarts. And yes, a lot of bright clown-knights.  :smile:

This is just a simplification of balance. Why bother if you can make everyone use the same equipment?

Matchmaking. Does that mean we have official 1v1 or battle servers and a ranked mode? I knew it ! One of the devs spilled something about multiplayer that hinted this.

Just keep it as it was in Warband. That system was perfect.

The fact that anyone can equip anything and everything at the same time in Mordhau is one of the reasons that made me lose interest in playing the game. IN warband, on the other hand, I can always look forward to different equipments and a different meta each time there is a different faction setup.

Not only that but sometimes less is more. By giving everyone everything you take out the identity of the factions and you sacrifice replay value. I want to look forward to special matchups and get those small senses of novelty every time I see a soldier using rare equipment combinations that is somewhat rare and seldom seen which still does happen.
