A question thrown into the air:

Will we have love™ tomorrow, or will it be an insipid QA blog?

Relations between the army commander and lords

As long as the army is successful in their efforts and the lord commander is keeping the other lords happy, then the army can go on marching for a long time. But if things don’t go so well, the army will quickly dissolve and lords will decide to abandon the campaign and return to their own lands.[/i]

How will this work with mercenaries, farmers, bandits or troops from other factions? Let's say I recruit several bandits and I do not do get along well with the commander because I fail a "fetch cattle" quest, will the bandits just bail out?

This isn't about relations with soldiers in the party, but relations between lords in a faction's "army" (when the Marshall leads a campaign in WB. Replace Lord Commander with Marshall and it should look similar to WB.

That's just Duh and it's an old message. Duh's assignments have changed many times by now.

I know mate, I was referring entirely to the reference to love™ (once again). Next time check you all a little more on the image (3 December 2018:iamamoron:

I see, it looked as if it's something new to complain about, but instead it was about old unfulfilled promises.
I don't think Duh was hired to deputize here and chat **** with us ordinary folks, so Callum looks to be knowingly misleading.

I assumed it was about the new forums Duh is supposed to be working on, but I could be wrong.
Yes, they need new forums for some reason and Duh is supposed to work on them, before moving on to modding documentation (?). No updates on his activities, but maybe he'll have a dev blog interview once the forum is up.
Btw, Armagan registered bannerlord.com. (Registrant Organization: Ikisoft Yazilim)

But what you're saying is literally not true at all and not how SSR works. You're just guessing how it works, whereas I'm going off the mathematical papers from the people who invented it.

How did you get to see Bannerlord's SSR code?

You're guessing as much as anyone here, mr. clever.

Question for QA guy: Is there a secret "cheat map" where it contains a chest of all the items and troops in the game for testing purposes? Like clicking on a button and it spawns an enemy? How about the cheats in bannerlord? How many cheats can we do past obvious ones like infinite health and ammo?

Heres an example of what im talking about

I'm not guessing in the slightest. What I'm saying is staggeringly easy to prove and you could look it up on your own if you wanted to.

When graphical techniques like SSR, Normalmaps or even something as simple as texturing are invented, the inventors publish a maths paper explaining how they did it, and everyone copies it. Texturing was invented in 1974 and literally every game implements it almost the exact same way, despite the idea being 45 years old.

Similarly, SSR is just a mathematical idea published in a paper by the crysis 2 developers, with a bunch of code explaining in detail how to implement it. If you were creating a new graphics engine you would more more or less just slap it in there with very little of your own modification. If a game had SSR which was fundamentally different or they had coded it themselves, it wouldn't even be SSR and would look completely different to the screenshots.

The fact that I was able to see a single screenshot and work out what part of the SSR calculation was causing the problem should show that the code they're using is the same code as any other game. There's even an article I found, written by the guy who implemented SSR in assassin's creed 4, from back when the technique was in its infancy. They explain the exact same problem I was describing with bannerlord's SSR.

I came across this article on the Guardian: https://www.theguardian.com/games/2019/may/15/game-of-thrones-video-games?CMP=fb_gu&utm_medium=Social&utm_source=Facebook#Echobox=1557910179

It mentions mount & blade 2 Bannerlord at the end, which is quite nice advertising.
Wow, a Guardian reader. Their game articles are usually console peasant crap. This one is just "we made an insight-free list".

 I'm not a Guardian reader. I despise it. However, I do see articles on my feeds.
