Mount & Blade features a unique single player mode: instead of closely following a storyline, we want players to experience their own unique adventure on each playthrough. This presents us with a great challenge on both the narrative and technical fronts. We have to make different places, missions, characters and systems capable of responding dynamically to what the player wants to do, creating a rich and deep emergent narrative. As the lead programmer of the Campaign Team, Berat Ceren Üstündag’s job is to implement these systems to create a campaign that can truly react to the player and allow them to be the captain of their own destiny.

[/parsehtml]Read more at: http://www.taleworlds.com/en/Games/Bannerlord/Blog/24

@Hazzball,
excuse my ignorance, but are those questions related to engine?
Yes, they are. Or so I think..
They have relevance to the graphical topic anyways, so that's all that matters imo

2. And from the 10 minute siege video around "6 months ago" I saw in the video that arrows weren't registering, and sticking to thin air - Have you guys fixed this issue?

3. Will you be able to open the enemies castle walls if you breach from a ladder / and or a siege tower, and flank around? (to let your allied troops in)

2. I presume you are thinking of one of the siege videos we saw last year, we haven't seen any siege this year as far as I know. I don't remember arrows sticking in thin air though.

3. I think we already have evidence that we can; in the attacker siege video from E3 2016 the player was able to scale the walls using the siege tower and go down through the gatehouse to the courtyard, and then he got close to the gates and an icon appeared along with the text "Gate (F) Open", though he chose not to open it.

If i remember correct, in one of the blogs they said "Arrows/javelins etc act differently on different objects, sticks on wood, bounces on rock", or something like that.

So that is not a bug, but a feature.

I don't get it.

Pls guys, dont waste yours and our time giving info to community like that. At least a video could have been better.

Spend every minute of your life to finish whatever you are doing.

"I think the most difficult part is trying to keep every feature moddable" This, i can accept. Rest is naahh..

No i am not trolling or anything. When i read these q&a s i feel like i am getting fed with vague promises.

Its too late.. and sadly it seems there is a long long way to release... i am sad thats all

Well, Berat seemed happy and full of glee in her picture.

Some great insight on the morale and overall enthusiasm of the Bannerlord team.

When do we get to see an interview of that red headed kid that was filled with piss and fire.. I think he was on a couple interviews with the team during E3.

He seemed heavily invested in the effort.

Thanks for the update.

I find depressing is that taleworlds will not respond to any of us at all. They probably just post the review then turn off their computers go back taking ages on this game an just leave us in the dark until a wk later. An post a minimal blog that doesn't go into depth doesn't show loads of picture an not even a video. An they say they are going to have a rough idea when we can get it in our hands in a beta or alpha mode load of BS if they truly knew when to release it they would start showing more an more things then BANG a massive announcement an all the hype goes through the roof. we see people jumping back on Warband servers to play it again to the compare it too Bannerlord. Even though from all the footage Bannerlord looks a billion times better then Warband.
