Currently, I'm working on our new NPC animations. We are focused on animating different types of NPCs to create a living atmosphere in the game. This could be something as simple as seeing NPCs drinking and eating in a tavern or tending to crops in a village, but it goes a long way in making the world feel more alive.

okay let's pretend that dust particles and other cool visual effects are extras that we can easily miss for a closer release date but what about "fake" animations? if these anims will just freeze the npc in a static animation like in some warband mods it would be an huge immersion break down.
Just think about the tavern scene, how can you consider it good if the waitress never move serving the same table forever? wouldn't be better if she could be able to walk around and start the animation at some predefined waypoints?

Animations are one thing, demanding that dust clouds rise when the animation plays and that grass moves along with it is a whole different story.

That's not a question, and I doubt that mods will ever happen. Hard drive space isn't the biggest issue, working out mods with Microsoft and Sony is, and so far, Bethesda is the only dev/publisher able to do that.

WTF is this ****!!!
the guy is cutting the grass. but it has no impact on the grass itself. the guy is digging the ground but not a single impact on the ground. not even a little dust cloud or something. if it was coming out from a little modders team i would say ok these guys are doing great work. if you have begone yesterday i would say ok these guys are doing great work. but 6 YEARS, 6 FRIGGING YEARS!!! (since its release announcement. they probably started working earlier.) and you come up with something like that. that the standarts of a small modder team or from the year 2010 but not todays standart and not the standart for the seize of your team and ESPECIALLY not for that working time.

PS: due this long working progress your engine looks **** AF, just saying. just release and let the modders do their work they are better and more efficient than you guys. really pathethic.

if being a publisher to a indie dev and the supporter/developer of the gaming plataform (engine, etc) is a bad thingy, then we would not have indie games at all (including the first M&B). Funny how that works, right?

we also wouldnt have most AAA today as they also use tools from other developers (Unity, Unreal, ...).

Dude, it's a fighting and strategy game, not farming simulator.

The game's taking long enough, if they bothered to also add insignificant details for every single aspect of the game such as dust when playing 'hitting dirt' animation, or moving grass around with the animation, this game would never come out. Besides, pretty sure you don't see those kinda details in most games anyway. Heck, look at Kingdom Come Deliverance.

thats exactly what concerns me. they always tell us they are working on making the game as good as possible. but the game looks the same as the first screenshots released at announcement. no graphic model updates were done. the builded a new engine, but that news is from 2014. what takes them so long. what is the outcome of all this waiting. i saw modding comunities fixing  games full with bugs, bettering AI perfomances and creating new amazing content withing months. here we have a professional team, not a AAA company with thousand of employees, but quite bigger then a group of hobby modders who have a full-time job. and besides it is quite my right to demand a good working game with good details after all this waiting.

copy and paste 90% of the mods, its not quite big effort to do. i mean, if the modders get their share, im totally ok with it. but dont defend them, telling me they are hard working.

shows us your DLC level module, developed by you or your company, to prove that 90% claim. Unless you are just talking about something that you actually know nothing about.

btw unless you are new around this parts all those "copies" have released both assets and source code, so anyone with a little modding know-how can see how they were made and if you are right or not

I'm pretty sure there are no plans as of right now to release BL on console. If it is released on console, it will be after the PC release, and probably after a few patches for PC.

what are you trying to say? the dlc's were originaly mods from the modding community. and in the end there wasnt much change from the mods and the dlc's. yes i am a consumer, not a modder. i just look at the end product. i dont know how to mod or develop a game but, i see modding communities and patreon game devloper getting shi.t done. and i see the work of taleworlds. and what i see concerns me. they are grinding a huuuge amount of funding from the turkish goverment every year. they HAVE the resources to get **** done. and if not bring it out on early access. let us help you gather resources. but they would never do something like that. because an update would come out every 6 months and the content of the update would be low to none.

with the small amount of time that i have spent on this forum as a member, and a very long time as a guest (usually looking for info about mods,DLCs, updates etc...) i have stopped reading anything that says 6 YEARS,6 ****** YEARS.      what a waste of words.
as far as i am concerned i dont care how long they take to develop it, the developers are the one who want to develop it as soon as possible (though they have a very reasonable priority which has been stated multiple times, they want to release a very stable game). i also think the main reason i like warband so much is because its vanilla game is very stable (ofc we have some strange issues at some places, but in general it is very stable) and around a million modes ( i am very grateful to all these modders, thanks a million my dear friends!)
as the game itself has given us freedom, same level of freedom our modder buddies had enjoyed in warband which made all those modes possible. if the developers make a very stale looking but stable vanilla Bannerlord, our modders will make fantastic modes out of that and people like me will be glued to their PCs again for years to come. hell i am still glued to my PC as i haven't even tried all the modes of warband that i have marked to play. so yes TW can take the time they think is necessary for them. and please don't get angry on them for this reason.
sorry for the long post, but i could not just help it, it gets irritating.

it is easily one of the best blog. i have seen camels running on loose sand on a windy day and they raised a sand storm of their own and they were bloody fast. that gif reminded me of them. very nice blog indeed.

I am fairley certain that they confirmed a console release alongside the PC release
