Astoundingly excited with such great news.

Since I have resigned to not receiving any small info on Bannerlord from TW, I have indoctrinated myself into being non-excited about Bannerlord news, but I was really interested in knowing about the team. It's a great way to value those working at TW (and more specifically, those working in Bannerlord), as well as keeping us a bit up to date.

This has made me happy.

Now I do have some desire to know about a few things: about the landscapes, scenarios, castles, villages and towns and the whole map: I would like to know the following
1 - Have you taken major inspiration from any real (or fictional) places? (as in, you tried to copy the essence of the place into your in-game location) I ask for major, because we all know you take small bits and pieces from everything historical or fictional, this is what we all do creating places.

2 - Have you taken pictures from any specific places to draw inspiration from? Like the Hagia Sophia, for instance, or any place in Istanbul or any other places which you think would make a nice inspiration for the Calradic Empire.

3 - Did you take any pictures from countryside, beaches, trees or stuff for inspiration for fiefs  or any particular locations, or just to make textures? I really find this fascinating, so I am interested in knowing about your creation processes.

4 - Did you visit any museums or personal collections or whatever to draw inspiration, take pictures or use them to make textures/models of weapons and armors?

Seriously, if you traveled anywhere to take pictures, film or whatever to draw inspiration, and are not telling us, I will be so disappointed. If you didn't, it's fine, there are TONS of stuff we can easily (and cheapily) find on the internet to make, and if you used only virtual sources, it's fine too, but showing us those sources (virtual or real) would really make my loins very merry.

Thank you for reading this, and I hope one day, some of these questions may be answered in one form or another. I'm just really into knowing the processes of creation from level, model and stuff designers, as well as Yavuz's process of creating things for the game.

Hi yavuz,
I have 3 question for you?
1-)will you add the turkish langueage patch
2-)will you add speach(voice) in the conversations(even several times)
3-)when you attack the somewhere else seems everything is wonderfull but still our character is misarable because of the fights. will you add the develop section for our fight skills?(1-)spin around with the sword.2-) jump and swing down the sword 3-)dodge the guy after that finish him like special; cut the neck something..etc)

For Armagan: Have you always consider this series, Mount & Blade, to be your life's work? Are there any other projects you've wanted to delve into? Any other genre of game with which you'd like to experiment? Any other time period or setting? Any projects aside from those relating to video games?

I like how the blog post says they're going to be transparent and at the same time completely ignores the only real question anyone has- when is this game releasing? Obviously, 2017 isn't happening, but will it be 2018, 2019? 2030? Without publicly committing to a release date the game will just remain stuck in development hell forever.

Great to hear from you guys, news is almost as exciting as it is to see so many old faces (in text) starting to appear out from the woodwork and also getting a new urge to get into modding Warband again and also get more into learning C# ..for future ref.

We are here for you guys, always.

-Gothy

For Armagan: Did you was inspired by Darklands on making the character creation for Mount & Blade?

^^^

Where you stated "non-excited about bannerlord news", that is how I exactly feel too after being so tired of not receiving any information from developer team for too long time.  Because of that, I was losing the interests into waiting for bannerlord after many years of waiting.

To develop team, I have been playing mount and blade series since very early version of mount and blade.  After having gone through many changes from mount and blade to warband with all DLC included, I just got fed up with extremely long time of waiting for further information and news about bannerlord.  I have been looking forward to play bannerlord for many years.

however, I agree with the community that the developer team should have communicated with the community long time ago.  I honestly thought that developer team have forgotten us for years.  Anyway, it is great to see that the developer team realized the important to keep relationship with the community and for that, I am glad.  I am looking forward to see what kind of blogs we will see each weeks.

I'd love to see a weekly screenshot feature! It could be part of the weekly blog, or a separate post to the media page. You could describe what's in the screenshot, detailing features, faction info, art, lore, formations, unit types, or anything really.

Looking forward to seeing what insights we get into the TW team and the game itself in the weeks to come.

1. Will TW be working closely with the team that created the Napoleonic version of the game and others (love a bit of blood and iron myself) to get those out quicker?

2. Instead of capturing a lord can they be done away with? If so, how is it done and what effects in game might that have?

3. IF I were to play a female character must she have a tacky leather bra on?

I just want eyecandy, screenshots and info ,that is all everyone here wants, they can take their time if only they show us more eye candy

Those Napoleonic War guys moved on to making their own games years ago, they have no plans for being involved with Bannerlord DLCs. They are now called Flying Squirrel Entertainment and Anvil Game Studios. The 'two' companies share a lot of the same personnel; unfortunately FSE seems to be reduced to two or three active personnel, and they haven't released a blog in almost two years, though there is an alpha for higher level donators. All donators (they have used crowdfunding to help with finances) get access to a dev diary of sorts which gives a little bit of info, but even that has dried up since before Christmas 2016. It really seems that they've given up on FSE and its game Battle Cry of Freedom in order to concentrate on Anvil Games and their Holdfast Nations at War.

In any case, they've been asked before and they have no plans to return to modding for Bannerlord. They are trying to make their own games to sell nowadays.

Does transparency mean that you will tell us more or just more cannot tell you. But a serious question is have you showed every thing in the game or are there things still not shown.

Thanks for letting me know!

A blog every Thursday is a good idea to stay connected to the community. As many have mentioned, I too was starting to think, TW has forgotten us but with the weekly blog updates, better late than never!
The latest material on Bannerlord are amazing and it looks glorious!
