Would the partnership with netease game further delay the game? Not a criticism as I'm actually just curious how the partnership with the new company will extend to Mount & Blade Bannerlord.

Why would it?
If anything I think it's a sign that Taleworlds have a release date in sight. Otherwise I don't see why they would affiliate themselves with a chinese publisher for distribution in China.

Yeah, they keep saying that, but they don't explain how or why.
I can sympathize with the opinion that the game might not be as polished/finished as we'd hope, but saying that the game has downright devolved is silly. Especially without presenting any concrete examples.

We seldom agree. But sure we do!

A side-by-side of some gifs showing examples of downgrades would be nice, from those of you who think it has...

The only difference I see is that it appears slower, though I didn't think so at first so I think my mind is playing tricks on me after hearing people say it so often.

It did seem floaty, but to me it always did in MP comparing to SP, simply because most of the characters on the screen didn't have a mentality of homing missile.

I can't say that I see an obvious downgrade, but at the same time I was never really interested in multi and it's the MP playerbase that voiced their concern, so I won't dismiss them, I do wonder, though, if it's issue of something going worse or us finally seeing the full match and it always looked like that.

I’m surprised to hear some people think the combat has devolved since the sergeant gameplay. I didn’t get that impression, unless a dev can confirm that changes have been made?

I feel the same, combat looks almost the same as the old videos IMO.

All we are saying is that it LOOKS devolved, we can't know for sure though until we played it. Might just be a hoax set up by TW to scare us.

I think I’ve missed something. Could someone explain what this partnership is to me please?

As the statement says, this deal is purely for the Chinese market and won't have any impact on our operations in the rest of the world. For Chinese players, this will mean local distribution and support which is something that we otherwise wouldn't be able to provide to that community ourselves.

I once spoke of downgrade in the past. Well, now that my condition is known by all I can safely say that Bannerlord shines graphically. Obviously it's not a Battlefield or an RDR2; however the game looks nice. I won't go into the debate on how I would have developed the art direction (it gives for hundreds of pages and more if Mr. Hinds accompanies us in the debate); however, I repeat... I don't see downgrade, be reassured.

Just chinese market catering, by means of local servers and whatnot.

Thank you both.

Doesn’t sound like this should impact anything.

Pure bias.

Art direction wise my dislikes are; some parts of that Battanian armor skirt, gauntlet, extra payer of shoulder protection to be precise. Sturgian architecture looks too Scandinavian cpuld be more Kievan Rus.

Edit: not extra payer, I meant extra layer.

For me it looks 100% sturgian.

Extra payer? There's some kind of DLC in the beta?
