Any way to recruit these guys into your party or do you just have to capture and see if any want to join?

There are two ways, defeat and capture them OR find a group that is holding them prisoner, defeat that group and hire them into your party.

What I generally do is capture them and then store them in my Lair. Once I am ready to found an empire I recruit them en-mass and stuff them in the Lair garrison for a few days (prevents desertion). I use the whore in my lair to keep party moral up during this process to prevent desertion.

it costs something 20 000 and you can build it from camp menu.

I have 21K and tools
either I cant find the option or i need more men (its just me in my party)
or is there a lvl requirememnt?

To build a lair select camp from the menu. There should be a option in the middle of those options to build lair or something. All you need is 20k.

That is the current version and the lair is in it. So that should not be a problem.

You need a certain amount of renown to build it IIRC.

Well I've seen the option for a little while and I'm at around 400 renown.

Its near 100. I built mine at like 80.

Ha I do the same! With both the Dena and The Franks, an easier way to recruit them would be nice tough.

EDIT: using tweak M&B as a bit of a cheat kind of solves all recruitment problems tough for these guys, Just capture as many as possible, set recruitment chance at 100% and add happiness for recruiting from prisoners (via tweakM&B) and your only problem will be finding enough dena pirates and knocking them out instead of killing them

Juju you are so right. I just got 360 prisoners from a band of youg warriors - some 30 denas, some franks, lots of mixed units, and about 150 bandits. They now guard Reandlesham- I might call it Bandittown instead!
