Ive pretty much got the fireball working. It looks pretty good to me, but I might tweak it a bit.

I know, I was jsut giving you a progress report. Im having some trouble getting the fireballs texture to work in-game. Have any models I can make? My school year ended today, so I'm going to have more free time.

you can do the demon chest plate and knights chest plate, remember their color schemes (reffer to pictures on main post)

Ill start that tonight, right now, im doing Excalibur. Plus, I have wings3d, so im going to do them after I download Gmax. Im going to export an existing armor from M&B, so I don' have to rig it.

Apollon I think you still have to rig it again, even though its a M&B one. Maybe I'm just mixed up with things...

Anyway, heres a sword I just whacked up.

I like it. You might consider making two little spikes going out on the blade, though. The hilt had good detail, but the blade doesn't...needs to be a little more intricate.

You need to work on the little part that comes out of the hilt. The guard. Its too skinny. I havnt started the armnor, but excalibur is looking 'flippin' awesome!'. Im modeling it off of this picture

I finished a rougdraft of Excalibur. Theres a lot of detail on it that you can't see in this picture. The guard needs some work, but looking at my earlier picture, what'dya think?

Edit:There have been some proportion changes (made the hilt bigger) and Im planning on having the actual blade start later (like in the picture of the sword I modeled this one off of.)

Thats great Apollon! There is a problem though, at the tip of the blade, you need to smooth it out, by adding cutting the edges and moving the vertices, then make it more detailed.  Other than that, its really great!


EDIT: Because of Eother, I changed my sword, I agree that it was a bit plain on the metal bit, well heres the image.

Hmmmmm. The guard looks weird, and those little star things must rack up the polys. I like how you moved the vertices on the sword to make it more spikey, I did something like that with my demon sword. I guess Ill post a picture of it soon.

Its close to the picture I modeled it off of. Not exactly, but same basic shape.


Heres a close-up of the demon Sword picture. The blade basically just goes up, and to a sharp point. Hope you like it. I don't have a texture for it yet, as I don't with everything. The fireball is done to let you know.

Thanks, its the one I based off of yours. Sure, I can make a lightning bolt. The fireball looks good in-game. I havnt tested out using a staff yet. You know. We could make a staff thats a polearm, make it have a very very long weapon reach, and jsut add a special particle effect, to make it look like its shooting stuff. But thatll be harder, so I'll probably stick to staffs as firearms.


What do you want the top of the staff to look like? I orgininally had it as a staff with a fire orb on top of it, but if its shoot lightning, how do you want it to look?

We're using the native map with extra towns, as far as I know.

You guys have particle effects on that fireball?

And IMO a staff would be awesome, just set the staff as a Firearm (and change the name of firearm to magic if possible)
