Defeating enemy kingdom: why nothing happens?

Hey, i just finished conquering all of Vaegirs castles and cities, they've got nothing left, i have 8 of their lords imprisoned in my capital.

I tried to go in a fight with theyr King, i did it and i even knocked him down personally in the middle of the battle, but he managed to escape..

Well, what i'm asking is: WHERE did he escape?? They have no more castles! No more cities!

Do i have to defeat every single Vaegir Lord to make kingdom collapse??

I even heard that they made peace with the Rhodoks.. while holding no land!

Help?

Plus: i read that talking with imprisoned lords of a fallen kingdom would let you tell them to join your kingdom, well, i can't.

in a cuple of game days you get a message that the kd is defeated. the lords not in your prison go to random kd, the ones in your prison stay there for recruiting.
The king is unrecruitabile

Once a faction has lost all of its holdings you have to defeat every party left on the map. When all the parties (and caravans) have disappeared you recieve the message that the kindom was defeated.

Lords who have escaped after the faction has lost all of its fiefs are not gone. They will join another kingdom after a while and spawn in one of its castles.

The king on the other hand will never spawn again. Probably he moves to an eremit shack high upon the mountains and spends the rest of his life cursing you

If you have Prision Tower and go to Dungeon after some time and put him there, wait for a time( idk how much time)
and go to Dungeon of the Town
so talk to him and a option will be there
