SP Fantasy Decend into darkness...... (It's a mod)

Hey. I've started a new mod (try and guess the name of it  :lol:) even though I havent finished the tutorials yet! Basicaly all I've done is most of the map (just need to rename and replace a load of places) and, well thats it realy. I plan to add a lot of factions, (for the maps size anyway) new quests, heros and (hopefully) options. Anyway onto the other introduction:

Over a century has passed since the last of the empirial legions at last left the lands of Dumonia, since tribes poured out from nowhere to burn and kill. Over a century since the empires far off city was razed to the ground. And yet the lands and people of Dumonia, as the empire named it are still not free. A new threat, the same that plauged the empire has come to the eastern shores of Dumonia. After years of war these Saex invaders have taken much land and slaves from the weakend land. But now things change. To the north east many of the Picti tribes have been united, to the southeast a new warlord has arisen, to the northwest the Arlandi tribes are growing restless, and in the center the last remenants of the empire ready themselves for war. To the Saex lands, well who knows. Times are changing and in change lies orpaturnity, so what opartunity can be found by the adventurers of the land? Will you crush you're enimies as one of the last of the empire? Will you fight for you're countries freedom as a Dumonian warrior? Will you bring death to you're enimies as a Picti or Arlandi? Or mabye,  mabye you will crush the peoples of Dumonia as a saex......................

New map (the only new feature finished so far.)
17 new factions
New troop types and trees
New quests (long way into the future)
New starting optoins
New textures (mabye)
 
Sorry, I'm not up on Olde English names but, is this based off of early Albion?
Picti= Pict
Saex= Wessex?

Emperial Legions= Imperial Rome?

Is this a fantasy mod or historic?

Indeed. This is my own mutated version of britain in the 6th century. I think in the 6th century. Something around then. No wait 5th century. Although since it's my own mutated version it doesnt realy matter :grin:.
I would'nt call it a historical mod (the whole reason I decided to mangle britain is becuase it means I can screw with history however much I want to) although I would'nt call it a fantasy mod either. Mabye fantasy based on history.

Why not just say, YOUR reality?
 
Well I've put the factions in (although most have no fiefs) and there are 16 factions. Just having a bit of a problem with giving them fiefs.

Oh yeah and by the way there's no way I'm getting this out before v1 is released (although it will (hopefully) be ported to v1.)

16factions? insane..  :shock: :roll: it will be very hard to make differences between them and making 16 almost same factions pointless. Mod itself is interesting.
 
The point of having 16 factions instead of 4or5 factions (there are about 4or5 different races) is to show that the races are divided. So although all the dumonii factions will always be at war with the saex they may war with each other as well, giving the saex some chance of survival.
 
Lol that must be where I got the name from. The barbers greek isnt he? Accidently cut some old man? I could'nt think of where that name came from.

Hehe, I always wanted this in a game. All the little kingdoms constantly fighting each other.

I must reread the winter king somewhen..

Reminds me a little of Battle for Sicily  :smile:
 
17 factions like this probably wouldn't be overly hard as there's probably not much variation in terms of equip or fighting style (shield walls for all!) ... just different shields and heralrdry and such..
