Want to open this thread so you players in 1.5.2-1.5.3 (without mods) can debate what you think is wrong with the economy right now and what can be done to balance it out. (This thread should be derailing proof if the only thing you´re discussing is mainly economy stuff from all parts) ..Feel free to lay out your secret accountant experience and tips all from monopoly at home to your local or international banking offices. We welcome all thinkers from all sides of the world

too many caravans so every town is stacked
prosperity goes either over 5,00o or less than 1000 there seems to be no even ground
All Prices are too close together making trading less profitable

Especially very late game to where it is very hard to make any profit from trading due to huge drop in prices even if you just sell 1
 
I think I would love to see
1) maybe 10% reduced caravans implemented, so not so many giving every town tons of goods
2) a small reduction to garrison/militia food consumption as a start to keep settlements from starving
3) Trade levels on companions running caravans have more of an impact
4) reason why days 200-700 seem to have a stall in inflation, then at 700 it just keeps flying high non stop

Definetly but decreasing militia and garrison consuption by even a little may allow ai to stack up to 3k troops but other then that the other changes seem pretty reasonable and that inflation thing is true
 
To me i think the biggest problem is super late game inflation since it does not seem to work close to as intended if what @Flesson19 said was true and you did the maths right and grain at 6k days is supposed to be 29 and fish 33 it really does not seem to be the case here as these things seem to in general go to either really high or just break late game to where profit is unimaginable.

And as i said before the smallest tweak to caravans could cause major issues such as towns not having enough food or msking workshops even worse since now nobody is buying so while it could bring a lot of positives without testing thatvwhole 10% less caravans thing i dont think i can give a fully honest opinion

there should be a garrison and militia size cap

I need to test into 5000+ days to get a better last game picture
 
You def need to all i recommend is either installing a mod that makes the player immortal or just cheating money getting a wife and just getting a bunch of children
I was just going to keep running my trader only build, no fighting up over 5000 days to see how economy is

Hmm that could work but i still recommend getting a wife and having a bunch of children since that chance of death is not a chance you want and then just sit it out

will do, not sure if I will keep dong it on Youtube, just completed 1,000 days, thinking if I want to actually take it to over 5,000 days then I will have video to show each stage of game

I would suggest against it crashes are a lot more frequent very late game even with no fights and the extra recording could make it worse
