Deathmatch Codex

Deathmatch is considered a gamemode for everyone - the goal of the game is to kill everyone, but there are some unspoken rules that I would like to collect together in some kind of codex. This subjective opinion applies only to me, this is a set of rules that I follow and would like to share.

1) Do not kick corpses. In no case, never and under no circumstances should you kick the corpse of a defeated player. If you kicked by accident immideately upon the kill - apologize in the chat. This rule is due to respect for the players I play with. The Mount & Blade community is extremely small, but we still manage to insult each other, humiliate and throw filth. I am glad that this game is still played, and I share positive emotions with other like-minded people who share my gaming position.

2) Do not backstab. The same as killing naked people at spawn, killing wounded on healing, killing a rider knocked off his horse. This is dirtily, and does not bring the satisfaction of a "pure victory".

3) Do not interfere the duel. Always look around, be prepared for an attack from behind, especially during a deathmatch duel, but if you see two players fighting, especially if they both use one-handed or two-handed swords, please do not interfere. One of them will come out the winner, and will be happy about it. Think how unpleasant it would be for you in their place to lose because someone interfered.

4) If you play as a cavalry or an archer, target only your own kind. Cavalry against cavalry, archers against archers. DO NOT shoot, do not bump into those "players with two-handed swords". They came to fight, spin, feint, block and chop everyone around, they do not need you.

It probably seems simple and naive, but I enjoy following these rules, I kind of think about my own game karma, and will be glad if my post finds readers, someone comments or critics to this.
