My advice to you is
1.Get good armour
2.A good two-handed axe
3.Bow and arrows

Refugees are even scarier. You see sometimes i see 2 refugees that captured like 10 darkies or so (yea i know how it happens). Creepy.

i always save refugees...i don't know why...anyway now there is refugee group which has 96 soldiers and only 26 of them is refugee they have 15 knights

With my solo horse archer I have found one good method to take down dark nights.
1.You must have a good bow, good archery skills, and a fast horse.
2.Ride around the enemy and take out everyone that dosen't have a shield.
3.Once all the enemys without shields are gone aim right at the horses of those that do have shields untill they are all on foot.
4.Stop you horse or move slowly untill one enemy gets close enough to swing at you,then right when he lifts his shield to swing shoot one right in his head.Repeat untill you win!
The only thing that can go wrong is if you horse stops and they catch up to you(only happens when the enemy is still on their horses).Or when you wait for them to swing at you, you miss and they hit you.Make sure to have extra arrows in your inventory.
This works for me.

It might be jsut me but I have waited for 3 game days waiting for a group of dark knights to finnish off a group of refuges, only to find out that the refugees won. Why do they always attack refugees? And don't always win?

Step 3: Repeat
Simple and flawless, unless you run into something (like a dumb horse that is unafraid of the onslaught and screaming and blood and death around him, or a smart tree that's terrified but is incapable of running away).

heh i found something fun with the dark knights. i took scythe and my trusty steed and head out to face some kniggits. anyhoo, upon finding a decent bunch of baddies, i got a stupid idea. could i slalom my way through the first wave of the knights and hunters. i usually just circle them, but i decided to try a straight out gangsta charge on'em. result: three unmounted knights, myself unmounted, but i survived.

now i have to update the situation i *hade* an army of 15 swadians crossbow men and 5 swadians knights and 7 swadians men-at-arms. and i followed the dark_hunters like somebody said *i will not mention any names* and in a sec my army was all dead! and i was ounconties and i lost everything but as they say "if you fall of a horse it just hop up again"

dark hunters are all melee so it's easy to take them out. like someone said, just keep mounted running in circles and swing a sword/axe when they can close. it'll take a long time but you can solo large groups of them with this circle method. if you bring a bow you can headshot the ones without shields. i have much more trouble with the khergits who have horse archers themselves and shoot me up real bad

nice trick for taking down the khergits: always concentrate on a single khergit. choose one, start following him, the other khergits may shoot but the guy you're follownig works as a shield.

^Lol yeah i was doing that once (not on purpose) but i was chasing 2 khergit bowmen on horse's with my sword and horse. Anyway , out of no where come's 2 arrows at virtually the same instant and kills both khergit's dead. Guess who shot them lol?
It said "khergit horseman killed by khergit horsemen" twice or something like that. (might be wrong spelling for name)
The dark knight's are hard if you don't have good armor , and your not a bowmen.
