SP Other Deadliest Warrior Mod. Finished Most troops! -In a pause-

Hello everyone, this is the thread for the Deadliest Warrior Mod.

About the mod: Will be based off the Tv show: Deadliest Warrior. It will have many of the weapons and armor each of these killer nations used.

Factions

Vikings. These brutal and menacing raiders and plunderer's controlled the sea and caused chaos in Europe. These troops wore mail plate's and had devastating weapons that could take your head off in the blink of an eye. This faction will be the Nords.

Stats: They will have high strength and a lot of health but will get slower and slower after every "upgrade".

Knights.

These noble and honorable warriors fought hard on against their foes. With their heavy platebody and their lighting quick warhorses make them almost invincible! This faction will be the Swadians.

Stats: Powerful 1 handed and 2 handed weapon mastery. Slow on foot but extremely fast on horse ( duh). They will have a lot of life and a deadly power strike.

Samurai.

These deadly, agile warriors prove their ability through years of hard training and intensive fighting. This faction will be the Khergits.

Stats: Extremely high agility and strength. Their most deadly proficiency is polearms.

Spartans. (Picture soon). These battle hardy dealers of death have proved their worth on the field, with deadly tactics and weaponry, the Spartans put up a good fight and don't stop until they win. They will be the Rhodoks.

Stats: High agility and great amount of strength will make the Spartans nearly impossible to kill. Excel in 1 handed and polearm combat.

Gladiators.

These killer warriors used devastating weapons the rip their enemies hearts out. They will fight for freedom, or die in the battlefield. They will be the Vaegirs.

Stats: Moderate agility but high strength. Excel at polearms and 1 handed combat.

Zhande Warriors. (Pictures soon). These African warriors were much like Texas's Apaches. They fight for land, and food. Using the weapons they had, didn't make that objective too hard to complete. They will be the Sarranids.

Stats: Very fast and deadly. Excel at throwing and polearms.

Changes:
Some weapons will be removed like the Military scythe and Bardache (spell check).
Will have all the weapons that are on the Tv show, and for an added bonus more weapons will be adding from each faction.
You'll notice some re-textured weapons and armor.
There will be more then one kind of the same item. ( E.g 5 kinds of bastard swords)
Changed name's for lords too be more faction accurate.
That's all planned for now.

Progress:
Finished Re-naming the Knights!
Finished Knight Trooptree!
Added few items for Knights!
Finished Trooptree for Gladiators, Vikings, and Spartans!

Need:
A modeler for at least each faction ( I can do Knights, Samurai, Spartans, and Vikings.)
1-2 Texturer's ( I can do some)
A historian ( or in this case "experts") for each faction to tell us weapons, armor etc.

They wouldn't work at all, tbh.

Anyways, this sounds very interesting. Ignoring all the inaccuracies and silliness of the whole DW concept, I'm sure this should be lots of fun. But I think it might be easier to at first just make a sort of custom battle-type mod (similar to the 300 mod) and change the multiplayer troops. Then after that's out you could work on a total conversion, if that's what you're aiming for. (It will be a LOT of work if you want to change more than just the troops though.)

Sounds like the fun, and the models for all the troops are already floating around everywhere....I am assuming this is going to be a multiplayer mod?.

Funny, the only picture that has a loyalty in it is the Knight but out of the lot they're the most universal warrior. The rest belong to one country, but the Knight belongs to a few.

Can I be the Asain guy who always thinks that ninjas were the most powerful people ever to exist and keeps making up stuff to try to prove it?

Sorry for the dieing thread, just got back from a camp for 2 weeks. Since I've haven't found much time in working on the mod i'm putting it on pause till hopefully the end of summer.


Reason for pause:

1. Mostly it's because of fright that my game will crash when I test the mod, after changing the names of the kings in Troop Editor.

2. I'm too busy this summer to work on it, I have 5 more days till I leave for another camp in California for 2 weeks.

Pro's about the pause:

When I return from this pause I'll actually have time to work on it.

The camp I'm going to is a computer camp where I can learn to make models, rig models and make UV maps.   So I'll come out better so I can start making models and can finally release this puppy!

So basically this is a fantasy mod seeing how Deadliest Warrior crew members only compares their stereotyped and idealized version of warriors.
