Haven't got this game on my PC anymore but used to spend ages on it...about the time I spend on Mount and Blade now actually...
This game was amazing and I managed to get my renown up to "legendary heroes" and had a party buff enough to attempt the final quest: the big tomb/dungeon/cathedral thing which had about five chamabers, one of which included a dragon.
Then my game got stuck on a bug...not so good, but the game was fairly buggy.
There were problems, such as being able to march from one side of the Holy Roman Empire to the other without resting once, and other things that could only be remedied by vigorous save scumming, but I still love it.
The robber knights were hard, I remember, and it was better to actually wait outside the castle OR catch him in his bed chamber.
The witches meetings...the wild hunt which I can't remember how to get rid of...the swindling Dominican monks...those were the days...
I tell people if they liked Darklands, they would like Mount & Blade, not that many people have heard of Darklands. Too bad about the lack of expansions or sequels though.
