Darkfall Is Coming

Darkfall, an upcoming MMORPG, is going to be released sometime later this year.  It is played in the first person and third person views and contains combat similar to mount and blade.  It contains archery, mounted combat, city sieges, ship to ship combat, all taking place in an mmo environment.  For everyone who plays M&B and wants multilayer, this is your chance.  Of course it is set in a fantasy world complete with various races, magic spells and such, but the game is very realistic in other ways, such as the skill system.  Players upgrade their skills by practicing them, not by just leveling them up.  A good example is in cutting trees down or mining.  In most games what kinds of trees you can cut down is dictated by a level system whereas in Darkfall, you can cut down any tree, but as you become better you will produce better items quicker.  Another exceptional feature is the full loot and open PvP.  Full loot means wen someone dies everything on them is dropped.  Open PvP means there are no safe zones and you can be attacked anywhere at anytime.  If you have any further questions you can PM me or go to the game's website at:

Right, so I see you're one of those impatient people. Darkfall is expected to come out this year. It is mostly, if not all, done. Mainly, publishing rights and distribution are in dispute, but deals have already been made in Greece and 50+ other countries for these rights. It's supposed to come out in October according to a reliable source, which means beta is coming soon. This is reflected in the new Beta signup area in the forums.

Yeah real fps style combat like mount and blade. I have to admit, it's my favorite feature. I love that auto-aiming and targeting is replaced in Darkfall and that is why I believe many M&B'ers will want to look into this game. Check the new gameplay videos to see how intense the combat and amazing the enviroment as well as PVE is. The monster AI is terrific, and mobs can outsmart and overpower you if you aren't careful. They level up and move depending on player-environment interaction.

There are six races and magic as well as several monster species, just like most other MMORPG's out there. What lost ya peabrain?

Well in reality the post was really a clever ploy to get you used to the seriousness.

EDIT: but being serious i do understand what you mean and btw i looked up that thread and it displays the date of when the thread was started, not the last post so i thought that that was over a year ago and i could make a new thread.  Also on the point of news, the fine folks over at darkfall have started beta registrations.
