anyone noticed this. those buggers are DEADLY now. the first time i actually fear for my equipment and personal health. it seems that if you hit them, they are still able to complete their swing and thus always hit you.apparently the only safe way to get'em is a really long pointy thing. and even then you have to watch your back.
also, the old circle around and hack away- tactic isn't as effective as it used to be.

i like this progress. there's finally a match for my might in calradia.

I haven't been able to play much ... so haven't run into any yet.

I bet that you will learn the techniques and tricks that work best against them (again) and soon start cutting a bloody path through them. When/if you do ... post how here so that when I get to them I will already have the best tactic in mind.

This is because the horse hitbox bug has been fixed. You can no longer slash the horse AND hit the rider. You can only hit one or the other. Thrusts or an overhead slash work best, but a sideswing works if you look up and have a good angle on it, or jump first.

Lure them to hilly terrain if you can (i.e. stay near the mountains). The slopes can split them up nicely, so that you won't got crashed solely by horse charges. Also as they are slow climbing up hills, you can kill them with ranged weapons easily even with low weapon proficiencies.

Thats basically been my tactic. I've been using all (Vaegir) foot troops, and I smash dark riders like nothing. Station your men in a gully or clump of trees, once you've stoped their charge they're toast.

I liked being able to hit both the horse and rider, it was fun and made more interesting combat. Plus it would be possible to hit a riders legs and the horse, maybe less so with a lance though. Still it was fun.

It's an amazin feeling when they have killed your horse and you kill one badass by jumping right before he hits you and slash with your sword.
