Damned pacifist!

I noticed the times between wars in my current game were getting.... lengthy so I decided to keep track this time.


The last war to be fought was the Nords and the Khergits (only two factions at war at the time) and ended May 19, 1258

it is currently December 19, 1258... no war...anywhere! And for 7 months!

I swore this time I was going to remain loyal to Ragnar no matter what... on this game with this character the Nords were going to dominate and not with Lethwin on the throne or with some bastard Nord-like faction led by me.

How am I to do this if there is no war?

I have tried to provoke them.... I have raided Vaegir villages, attacked their lords, did the same for the Rhodoks but their Kings would not respond to the provocations.

-Edit I also recruited as many lords as possible from other factions... gave us some growth but not much.

Both... I have half a mind to just start rampaging through enemy territory... Not like it is going to kill my relation with my king (86) or other lords (60+ on all)

The only problem I see with it is that peace was declared just after I officially became a vassal to the Nords (was merc before that) so I only have the one little village and the troops that I command personally... No vast stores of troops garrisoned anywhere and I would have to fight against bored little armies that have had an eternity to prepare...

That is what I meant when I said go rampaging through enemy territory... I was thinking of marching my little army of a 122 troops into Curaw... Vaegirs currently at a feast and as far as I can tell every lord they have is in there

Seriously though, I can't say I've ever encountered that before. I suppose one thing you could try is upload your save into the Diplomacy mod. That adds a conversation option with your king to suggest declaring war on someone. If you really have 85 relation with Ragnar, he might listen to you.

Diplomacy has never worked right for me... Hesitant to move over there.

Decided to go after the Rhodoks instead of the Vaegirs... 480 troops garrisoned in Uxkhal

How many factions are there? If there are too few war becomes less likely.

Everyone except Swadia is still in the game...

I admit the major players are only the Rhodoks and the Nords but the others are there.

Vaegirs and Khergits both control 2 towns and 3 castles, sultinate is down to 1 town and 1 castle.

Nords and Rhodoks control everything else.

you could always sack a village or two, maybe take a castle, and then tell them, "Screw you guys, I'm going home!"  that's what I do anyway. lol
