damn! loading a saved game resets the pc!

I bought the game last night, and played a ton since, but now I come home and try to load up the game and it resets the computer when I try to load my saved game !

this is on my wife's pc now rofl, M&B is killing me now haha.

ok I started a new game and It loaded up very laggaly. I was then able to load up my old save game, however when I went to load up the city i was at and bam, computer reset.




thats weird.... a game resets the pc ...

i just bought the game and the same thing happens with two of my save game files i havent altered the game a thing tho and everytime i load the file it crashes this is very annoying since i was really getting into the game and paid for it wat can i do to fix it asap?

I was getting a bluescreen when trying to load one of mine. Unfortunately I deleted the offending save to make way for a new game.

Edit: Hey, I just had another save do it. Joy.

I don't get the same problem but one similar. My first game i made , i saved at like...level 3 , And seem's i saved right on a crash spot. So as soon as i load game i crash to desktop. Although it doesn't really matter now. Since i got a different *working* savegame at lvl 11

it just happened to my 3rd character now!!!ive had to restart 3 times and it works for a while but then one day it will reset my pc when i try to load my save game!

The next version will have more robust saving. With the current version (0.632) , the only thing you can do is replace the corrupted save file with the backup. Mount&blade takes a backup of your savegame when it overwrites it. In 0.632, the file is called "oldgame.swg". Just copy this over your savegame.

Tried that. Backup save's corrupt too. Such a pretty blue screen though...
