So I took a Khergit castle on the Khergit/Vaegir border, you know the one ontop of the mountain. I do this BEFORE I join a faction so I know that i'll get it. And then I go join up the Vaegirs. I garrison the castle with about 80 or so assorted troops and out of no where those dirty southern nomads besiege it with 650 troops. I take out about half of them but i'm left with 20 or so soldiers after the first wave. Any tips?

1. Any way to hold the castle?

2. If not, is there anyway I can get away with as many of my resources (soldiers, companions, items, money) intact?

Just stand on top of the ladder and hack down with a big 2h weapon.. the best way to defend a siege.

or if you have archers on the side then get a few shields and block until their all broken, then start hacking with your 2h :roll:

and if your really desperate change to battlesize to 25

Forget the battle, leave everyone you have in the castle and go sign up with a faction that isn't at war with whoever is besieging you ASAP. Your relationship with them will reset and they'll break off the siege.

and if your really desperate change to battlesize to 25

I have like two archers.

I might change the battlesize to 25 and just call muligen.

I can't even leave. I'm surrounded on all sides by armies. I can click on my castle and if i click anywhere else I instantly have to fight 300+ khergits vs 1.

Well, you can either try to find a way to dodge them, which should be possible since with party size of 1 you're vastly faster than anybody else, or you can try to make a stand in the castle. Your call. *shrug*

They're literally RIGHT UP against me as in if i touch the space bar I get attacked.

They'll spread out if you enter the castle and wait there for a bit. Clicking the castle when it's in the middle of a clump of enemies can be tricky, but with a bit of patience you can do it.

they wont spread out, they'll start the siege

Yea exactly and once you are in the castle all you can do is wait and then they attack and all you can do is join the fight.

if you're absolutely desperate, either use battlesize 25 or enable cheats and control+click your way out of there.

lol. sorry but this is funny to me. khergis are nasty. they are just as nasty (skirmishers and lancers) on foot as they are on horseback. no offense, but i think you picked the wrong faction to **ck with. i have played with all different types. nords can be bad ass if you get ALL hurscarls, but there is no enemy, mounted or foot, that stands up to a battalion of khergit lancers. once the lines are broken its mayhem and they get slaughtered one by one. if you're insistent on this, you better get a vassalship with the nords, cause they're the only ones who stand a chance. but if you get into a war with the khergits u are screwed. they use that passw all the time and fiercely defend their own. honestly, i would find a way to make peace or join them somehow. good luck!

Go 300 on them. Strip down to the buff, grab a spear, and throw it with ridiculous power at them, then charge down with your sword, avoid all their attacks, kill them with single hits, and kick them into pits.

To be honest, your best bet would be a long slashing weapon to smack them back down the ladder when they reach the top. Use your recruits as shields.

1. Get best armo & shield you can get and start wacking top of ladder
btw what armo you got ? & shield ?
2. Hmm way to make peace with em ? pay gold perhaps? possible?

Never been stuck 'in' a castle under siege before, but if a castle I own is being besieged, I usually lure off the enemy armies one or two at a time til they're far enough away not to get an assist, then butcher them all and hire the prisoners. Pretty soon you'll have a bigger army than any that are left and they'll run like the nomads they are.

If all else fails take as many with you as you can, get captured and eat rubbish rations for a day, then go and recruit a huge army of mercenaries and come back a few days later: the big armies will be gone and the garrison will be laughably small. Retake the castle.
