Summary: D3D crash at the loading screen right after anvil opening scene. I been having this stupid problem for many months now, and before you guys send me that standard response, i have tried every single solution. I still get the "d3d_device_context_- map at rglgpu_device::lock_texture failed" error. I have made several clean installs, tried downgrading my GPU driver, tried the workaround with deleting shaders folder, and verifying, fresh steam install, and now i have completely reset my pc , deleted everything , reinstalled windows, and guess what.. the problem persists no matter what. This IS a problem on your end since every other , more demanding games run just fine, besides, i had played Bannerlord for about 260 hours before this crash, and never experienced any crash up until this point. One thing i noticed is that at the bannerlord launcher still has the "continue" option after deleting everything ? whats going on ?
Update: Now im just getting another D3D crash : 2024-11-07_22.35.36_734fcf1ae9dc70449e4f6e1b3467235e

Sadly this is a GPU crash where we can't do much about. You can try to increase the swap size of your disks and updating GPU drivers. Also if you can do a BIOS update we also had reports that BIOS update fixed the issue on some of our players.

Unfortunately, the crash you have experienced is a GPU crash. Sadly we can't directly offer support on these cases. You can try expanding the swap size on your hard disk but please note that it is not a solid fix. You can find more info regarding this here. Thanks for reporting and sorry for any inconvenience!

I am having the same problem as him, what solution do you give me? I just paid 30 dollars for the game and I have AMD

Dare i say your system is too old ? 1650 only has 4G GPU mem. I know many gamers cannot afford more but still.

I use to have a 1080 and had similar issues to you, then I upgraded to a 7900 and the problems went away .. not fixed, just went away.

Offering one, expensive solution, sorry.

Yeah this is defenately a GPU problem, all my games are currently crashing with D3D failures before getting to the main menu.
