So I have had a few problems trying to get this mod to work.  I have used the Nexus download and the Repository download.  Both times it fully downloads and then it pulls up WinZip.  When I go to Unzip into my warband folder under modules I keep getting the same error message.  Any help would be appreciated.

Redhawk, What happens when you extract the mod folder to your desktop and then copy and paste it into your mods folder??

Finally got it. Had no trouble. Downloaded to modules file, extracted with 7z end bang!!!
Turn off lights in the room, turn off air conditioning (to get that swety feeling from down south) and turn up the volume for best experience and soon you will feel that Colt in your hand and hard saddle under you  ! Been playing for just a few hours and I must say I am more then impressed.

I like the era you've chosen and the features you've made ( eagerly waiting for more ). Though some things could be made better, such as, some armors and rifles are bugged ( mesh could not be found or something like that ), scenes could need more work but it adds to the feeling you're into the 1860's ( like the 1866 mod in the original M&B ), more detailed map maybe, and an in-game troop tree would be a great bonus.

As a new tester  I guess I can answer here as well  . Glad you like it and I am sure you will love it even more with new updates. As for map we are working on it and map will definitely be more detailed and correct.

I have been trying to download this mod for some time now. The MB repository seems to allow me to download the mod but then I cannot unzip it as it says it cannot open the file as an archive. I have downloaded it from MB repository several times. MB Nexus won't even let me download because it says multiple content error. I'm not sure if this older version has just been totally abandoned or if it supposed to work. Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

I would help but better to wait for Gabby. If this version is still ready for download you will have nice time playing it. This is now very outdated version and Gabby did a great ammount of job on newer versions. Take this into account when playing. To give you a hint, in newer versions there will be a great ready new map with historical places like mines, trading posts, Ponny express routes and so on. Gabby also did a huge work on moddels and stuff wich you can see in screnshots section. Enjoy, be supportive and I promise you won't be dissapointed by the result.

In addition I will add that:

-I use 7-zip program (free and dlwdable here
http://www.7-zip.org/
That allows me to ultra compress my Mods, to make them smaller size and faster to dwld.
If a person does not have 7-zip installed, that ERROR will spawn. So pls just dwld it.

-I do not consider adding a pic a real and deep Support, but I apreciate it, of course.
Pls be aware that old 0.81 version, as Marecone said, is waaaaaaaay obsolete now, and I am not giving any assistance on it.
Next version will be, maybe, open to public, but only in more months.
Besides all my friends and helpers, also all my real Gabrilduro' s Supporters, will get the Closed Beta to test it, in a very short time, now. (was supposed to be one month ago, but I had some issues)

Not done yet but you can search the forum, learn how to do it and help us out. This way you can perhaps get the newest version sooner then others.
Gabby said many times that he is doing this step by step. Even the centers are not yet all placed asnit is not as easy as it looks.
I love flags and they will be in the game for sure but they are not a burning issue now. To make long story short; invest some of your free time in making flags and you will help both yourself and us as well.

Well...honestly, I hate seeing that "Banners" wrong stuff all around the map....but is like....

- some weapons showing wrong in inventory, see?  -

....I still had some Indian Lords looking Confederate  ...and their villages like TOWNS!! 
Mare, fixed all that, btw:

-all indian Towns look the same, as an Indian Camp
-all Western Towns look the same, with a western town scene.
-fixed ALL Centers COORDS in ALL the Map, as well, pard' !  ...some have to be assigned, cuz of some errors?! 
-Added ALL resources for making Scenes (pls, define Map ONLY the World strategic Map, folks!  )
So now more modern and Western PROPS, Houses and buildings...Trains...and military SHIPS can be added in the scene!!! 
-Added all weapons and.... improved skills for a great weapon: the Remington (Admy, happy? )
-added all uniforms!!!
-MODIFIED A LOT OF THEM AND A LOT OF STUFF, CREATING NEW Horses, Guns, Outfits, etc
-made new troop trees
-made new assignements for troops guns and items
-deleted Canada and made a new faction for France, made a fast troop tree
-placed no-name French Centers in Mexico, so that we can reason on them and play in Mexico some fights, at least! 
-Deleted Indian raiders and added APACHES!!!...........YESSS!!!!!!!!!!
-Comanches are now mixed Indians/Mexican COMANCHEROS
-improved  many skills and assignements
-made new faces for most troops....and some characters.
-made new Companions (...wait to see Marecone the Rebel!!!  )
-changed some Text at start (...and a lot has to be changed yet....but that damned work KILLs my eye!)
-Some sounds
-Music according to Factions and....circumstances!!!

-CUSTOM Battles changed scenarios and fixed ALL
-MULTY-PLAYER on a Lan or alone is Playable Now with TEN different Factions, including France and...Lost Island !!

--many other things that I cannot remember or that are still in my...hands.

Bad news now...
My left eye is seriously sick, I barely can see from it, lately. (I work on the PC with a Pirate eyepatch look)
I stated that in my message to all Supporters that got my las 1776 American Revolution Update, and I want to thk all the nice ppl that felt sorry and wished me good luck.

Don't mess with your eyes. No mod or supporter is worth that much. Hope everything will be ok and keep us posted. My thoughts are with you.
