Where is the NPC supposed to be in Zendar, i cant find him ?! :sad:

Also i notice that the rogue mercenaries spawn point is bugged in a mountain so they cant move , near Uxkharl ( something like that ) :smile:
 
The NPC is between the armour and weapons vendor.

Ok i just reinstall and all is going well. Maybe i put 2 mod in the same folder ...

BTW , can u use other mod with this one ? a mod for new weap armor , horses ? or something like that :!:
 
If you have the source, yes. Otherwise, no. So at the moment, that would be impossible.

go with the former, but raise the costs a bit to account for the fact that you are having to subsidise their equipment pool
 
Thanks to all. Unfortunately, progress has been slow due to the fact that I have 2 GCSE exams next week. I'll hopefully be able to continue after internal exams the week after.
 
hey u know what would be cool??? If you could also make this mod kinda harder making the armor upgrades harder to come by u know with 1 that starts with a like -1 armor or something until you get money up and up and up to the best armor they can use to make this more interesting and worthwhile. ^^

just a suggestion, but how about making all troops heroes why not change the tavern dialougues to a menu in which you simply asked to buy a any amount of troops, once you bought you X numbe rof peasants you would get  X heroes, you would have to make about 200 throes just to be on the safe side, but all that takes is copying and pasting and adding a number to the end of the tuple name, they could all be named bill and it would be up to the player ot actually name them, you would have to implement the hero death andinjury codes from maws murder, but it could be  alot of fun.
 
That's a completely different system to what I have created. It would sort of require me to delete everything I've had so far. Thanks for suggesting though :wink:

Right, 1386 lines so far (incl. comments), having just finished Reyvadin. Who wants me to release it now, without the ability to re-equip on the world map whilst I continue to work on that feature and release it later? Who would rather wait for what could be a week or more to get the feature in before I release it?
 
IMO I would prefer to wait for a complete version as a version missing features might sour the mods taste in my mouth and I might not feel like trying or downloading another patch. Plus a week isn't that long.
 
Hmm. It appears that I overestimated the task at hand and finished it in around 10 minutes :oops:

Native, excluding the mod: 2963 lines

I'm (superficially) bughunting now. If there's no obvious problems, I'll upload the mod. If there are problems, then you'll have to wait until tomorrow (oh noes :eek:).

Here's some issues I noticed:
my character is a female merchant, lvl4, hiring 14 "troop" and 14 "soldier".
I currently bought blunt weapons, gloves and light armor.
When I upgraded blunt weapons to lvl 2, I got the melee weapons error and discovered that the blunt weapons for both "troops" and "soldiers" were unequipped and I didn't have the option to equip them anymore (neither by talking to them nor by addressing the vendors).
I tried leveling up to lvl5 and the "troop" could re-equip their blunt weapons, but "soldiers" couldn't.
Is this a bug?
 
I'm attempting to re-create the bug now. I'll report back soon.

EDIT: I cannot re-create the bug. I have the option to re-equip both troop types with level 2 blunt weapons from Ieuan (Zendar), Ifan (Four Ways Inn) and the troops themselves.

If you can try to re-create it yourself, I'll have to see if there's anything wrong in the code. Otherwise, it's just been a random occurance that sometimes happens in things like this.
 
I just re-created the bug:

1) made a new female merchant character
2) cheated her to lvl 4 and 10000 gold
3) hired 14 troops and 14 soldiers (the max with 9 cha and 3 leadership)
4) went to the vendor in Zendar and bought blunt weapons, shield, gloves and light armor, all lvl 1
5) told the vendor to equip the items
6) got out of Zendar, talked to the soldiers, ignored the melee_weapons assertion and told the soldiers to equip the items
7) re-entered Zendar and bought blunt weapons lvl 2; un-equipped and re-equipped the troops without problems
:cool: out of Zendar, talked to the soldiers, un-equipped the blunt weapons and *poof!* they're gone!

These are the EXACT steps I took, hope it helps.

Thanks for pointing this out to me. You'd make a good games tester.

Version 2/2 will attempt to fix this.

EDIT: Aha! Gotcha. I had a 2 in the wrong place, causing this problem. Building, and uploading soon.
