Personal text can be added at leisure, Custom tags must be earned, therefor they are rare and having one shows you've done something memorable.

Right. Most people (like me) are just 'here' and are simply 'regu[abbr=read: boring]l[/abbr]ar' people. Those who do things memorably stupid, smart, funny, annoying or the like will often get a custom tag. Those personal texts are not nearly as special....come on.....just look at mine: "Lord Grawp the Sluggish - W1 Realms of Mayhem". How interesting can tha[abbr=...about as interesting as watching a snail battle...]t[/abbr] be? All I use it for is to give a tiny bit more info about me or what I do.
