(searched and didn't find anything similar)
I suggest a custom campaign option - similar to the quick battle option.
Like this:
It would be based around a story and an objective. (people often feel a need for a tangible goal in the game)
Imagine a map with only two factions constantly at war.
One faction being slightly underpowered (say the Rhodoks) and you start with a large army of about 100 men.
Your objective would be to eradicate the strong empire (say the Swadians) and become ruler.
The gameplay would be more linear, but the pace would be faster. Action from the start so to speak.
That is just one option. Only imagination is the limit.
It could also be just one faction (a peaceful land) now being plundered by Sea Raiders and perhaps other 'bandits'.
The Sea Raiders would have their own 'castles' - small fortresses - making their own faction. 'Lords' would instead be brigand leaders.
The goal would be to bring peace to the country by destroying the Sea Raiders.
Some people are restless and feel confused in the free roaming world of Calradia.
This would be an alternative for them: an objective and action from the start.
Perhaps for M&B 2
