whenever i play as a empire recruit i only really want the pilum and the sword, why then do i also have to spawn with javs and shield if i drop them anyways?

i suppose they dont want naked people running around like warband, why not then just have a minimum armor setting,
peasant - tunic
spearman - leather/gambeson
archer - gambeson
men-at-arms/knight - mail

?‍ Ask them, not like giving server owners the choose has even done something bad. Let the overall community decide if they want it or not would be logical when custom servers are out.

Next patch spawning with throwing spear removes javs
