Custom banners for Warband

Users who are viewing this thread

by "different banners" I mean separate banner textures in mod folder (warband/modules/cRPG/textures) - If you wan't to use custom banners in cRPG, you have to overwrite files there.

I understand, but there is no file such as banners_a.dds in that directory. By putting the alternative ones in here I obtain nothing. And I guess it's because the game doesn't expect such a file here. Maybe I'm wrong.

Anyway nothing works  :???:

[EDIT : That's okay I figured it out. They have juste a different name in cRPG]

If the brilliant conceptor of the banner pack is still accepting clan's banner I'd like to submit one.

This is the banner of  the Kokoweef Yeah Yeahs Clan.

By the way, it seems to me cRPG doesn't use exactly the same size for banner, as they appear slightly displaced. Nothing terrible in game though.

Anyway if you find the time, proper size for cRPG banners seems to be 132px/341px.

Hey Timothy.

After some patch a while ago DRZ's blue banner moved a little down and looked strange in battles. We've fixed it and it would be really great if you'd replace it in a next bannerpack update.
You can download it here.

Thank you.

Is this dead?

Not officially, no.

But it hasn't been updated sense early december and Timothy himself hasn't been on sense January.  So, it may be the end of the updates, but as of right now nothing officially has been stated. Until then, everyone just has to wait patiently for him to update it or announce the death of the project.

I just PMed Sir Timothy, if I don't get a response from him within the week, I'm going to start from scratch (since there's absolutely no information about whose banners are where and I don't feel like searching for active clans' banners).

First of all, sorry I haven't been around much lately. I've been busy, lazy and forgetful as of late. And truth be told, I've lost interest and gotten tired of handling the pack.

The current system for the pack has gotten a little unwieldy, as well. As most of you know, the pack was started back in the beta days, when the community was small enough for this system to work well enough. But since then the amount clans has increased to the point where it's troublesome for me to keep track of all the banners and which clans they belong to.

So, I propose that others take up my old mantel, and to avoid making the same mistake as I, split the pack into several smaller ones. There's already an Oceanic banner pack separate from mine, if I recall correctly, so splitting them by region is probably the wisest course of action. From what I've gathered, most clans stick to their respective region's servers. Some are international, of course, but that can be covered with a pack for international clans.

I can still continue working as an archivist for the banners, and will still continue to make banners at request. But as I said earlier, the original banner pack is now basically at it's end.
