Need More Info Cursor will not move in main menu on xbox

Im on Xbox and have had the same issue and found out what is wrong. After finding posts from people on steam having similar issues and resolving it by unplugging their controller - I tried plugging a mouse into my Xbox and it moved the menu curser.

However the issue is not fixed for controller, if you check the key bindings for the game they are now defaulted to keyboard / mouse and cannot be changed. An update is required to default the controls for an Xbox controller.

The controls change depending on the input you are currently using, flick your controller and open the menu, the bindings will return to controller

Could you try this workaround?

Lets try something that usually works for most Xbox One issues. What I am going to have you do is what's called a Hard Reset.

Press and hold the power button on the front of your Xbox One console until it shuts off. Once it is off, unplug the power supply from the back of the console for 30 seconds.

Once the 30 seconds are up, plug the power supply back in to the rear of your Xbox One than turn it back on. Once it has fully booted up and you are on the home screen signed in, attempt to use the on-screen keyboard again.

I've been running into this problem on xbox one since release. The only way to "fix" the problem is to use a mouse and keyboard on console, and there is no way to change the settings.

Please help. I just want to play. Sometime I spend hours troubleshooting different ways just trying to get it to start 1 time. Out of the hundreds of tries, it's probably worked 7-10 times.

We can't reproduce this issue on our end. Do you have any steps of reproduction that we can use?

I have used 3 different controllers and none of them work. I don't know how you can answer it. Thousands of players have this problem, only you have everything working

I'm having the same problem. Tried resetting the console, reinstalling the game and using different controllers. Nothing has worked.

I've managed to find a workaround for this. Open the game and then go to the Xbox settings menu, select devices and connections, select accessories and go into controller test mode. Stay in test mode while the game loads in the background. Once the game has loaded to the title screen exit test mode and the controller works as normal.

I've also found a solution, if you use a headset or other device that uses a wireless USB adapter unplug it, start up the game, then plug it back in. I was stuck for like 30 min and it worked when I did this, the game might be trying to use the USB as a controller or keyboard.
