Was going to try with my brother, but I can't get the launcher to connect to the update server from my desktop. Laptop fails to connect but just happens to have the latest version working.

There is a new launcher you need now.

I'm about to try MP with my buddy, going to use tunngle to get this working (I can connect to it so I assume he will be able as well).

Just remember to start your server beforehand by launching the server.exe in your installation folder.

Doesn't the frontend interface work? It was recently added, so info you have read may be outdated.
You shouldn't need anything seperate.

Servers always work, its port forwarding that people always forget and assume they need internet LAN programs for.

Edit: Someone want to upload and PM CubeSetup3.exe? Website is down, as per usual.

I really want to buy and play this, but I still can't make an account on their site. This is worse than a Blizzard launch day.

That would be due to DoS attacks on their server according to news published by Wollay on the website.

The Reason For Server Downtime
Our server is getting attacked by denial-of-service (DoS) attacks on a regular basis. The attacks usually occur in the evening and at night (European time).

Because of that we have to disable user registrations and the shop from time to time, and you will get the message about 'Server Maintenance'.

We will try to find a solution as soon as possible.

Yeah, shame... I was able to make an account, now I just need the shop to come up.

This website is handy by the way: http://direct.cyberkitsune.net/canibuycubeworld/

Edit: Honestly any company that is releasing a game should have better infrastructure than this. I've made websites on my own that could stop DDoS attacks better than this... it's very poor planning...

I don't think they expected it to be popular. The website is working very well right now, could be a good opportunity.

I'll hop on if someone else does, my router ****s itself with a knife when I try to port forward.

I'd host but I don't have near enough bandwidth, plus there are multiple people on the network basically 24/7. I have AT&T as well and port forwarding works fine for me though.

I could try, it may drop out occasionally (like one or twice a day), but it should suffice otherwise.

Edit: I think I've hosted. Someone try joining 194.69.223.108

I think mine should be working though, I've started and joined a dedicated server, and the router shouldn't need port forwarding. It is up at the moment, so feel free to try.
