Nothing has changed on my PC, Nvidia settings, game settings. I have gone through all of the recommended suggestions here and on the Warband Steam help page. None of it makes any difference. I'm currently downloading the standalone version from the site, but it's slow as hell and taking forever (on a 200MB connection as well). So I will be trying that when it's installed.
Was playing perfectly fine for a week, until now. Tried to start the game with various mods, all crash, so it's a game issue. Started in fullscreen, crash. Started in windowed, it let me play for a while, then crashed. Repeated the previous method, crashed, and now it won't even start windowed.
It's just very strange how I have played this for years, on worse systems, and never once had crashing or error messages.
EDIT: Nope. The standalone version crashes as well. Really pissed off.

EDIT: Sorted. Reinstalled the standalone game and latest Nvidia drivers (which were up-to-date anyhow, but did a clean wipe), made sure everything else was up-to-date as well. Standalone works, but haven't tried the Steam version. To be honest, I'm not all that bothered, so long as one of them works and I can continue my playthrough, that's all I care about.
Really weird how it just suddenly decided it didn't want to work anymore, even though nothing had changed. You have to "love" PCs.
