Summary: When someone else applies cloth physics to a mesh (specifically: applying it by using a _clo helper mesh), other people (not the person who applied the physics) will immediately crash when trying to launch the editor, with the following crash:
How to Reproduce:
Media (Screenshots & Video): None, aside from the crash log.
Computer Specs:
OS: Windows 10
GPU: Several different ones. Mine is a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER.
GPU Driver Version: Several different ones. Mine is 555.99.
CPU: Different ones. Mine is an AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D.
RAM: 32 GB
Motherboard: Different ones. Mine is ASUS TUF GAMING B650-PLUS WIFI.
Storage Device (HDD/SSD): SSD (M.2)
Loading the actual game (not the editor) works fine for everyone involved. It's only the editor that crashes, and only if someone else tries to load the editor. The person who originally created the cloth physics can load into the editor without an issue.[17:11:12.388] Unable to find data sacoatcloth::Cloth cook[17:11:12.392] <##########################################################################################>[17:11:12.392] Assertion Failed!C:\Develop\MB3\Source\Engine\Rgl\rglAsset_package_item_meta_mesh.cpp:607Expression: (res) && "Unable to load mesh cook data"[17:11:12.392] #TaleWorlds.Native.pdb@{2330F8668E5C4D30A9FBDF1846DC2C29} (1): 0:13381885#TaleWorlds.Native.pdb@{2330F8668E5C4D30A9FBDF1846DC2C29} (1): 0:1394931#TaleWorlds.Native.pdb@{2330F8668E5C4D30A9FBDF1846DC2C29} (1): 0:759451#TaleWorlds.Native.pdb@{2330F8668E5C4D30A9FBDF1846DC2C29} (1): 0:3968197#TaleWorlds.Native.pdb@{2330F8668E5C4D30A9FBDF1846DC2C29} (1): 0:4086609#TaleWorlds.Native.pdb@{2330F8668E5C4D30A9FBDF1846DC2C29} (1): 0:488402#TaleWorlds.Native.pdb@{2330F8668E5C4D30A9FBDF1846DC2C29} (1): 0:474542#TaleWorlds.Native.pdb@{2330F8668E5C4D30A9FBDF1846DC2C29} (1): 0:3855575#TaleWorlds.Native.pdb@{2330F8668E5C4D30A9FBDF1846DC2C29} (1): 0:3855272#TaleWorlds.Native.pdb@{2330F8668E5C4D30A9FBDF1846DC2C29} (1): 0:3859927#ucrtbase.pdb@{5C4F64BF99F5FDEC7295CAB05A30010D} (1): 0:138162#kernel32.pdb@{6AFFCDD847FA87A7AB5028B799F52ACF} (1): 0:95092#ntdll.pdb@{4C328D42D0B9A2B218FB85860DECF27C} (1): 0:314513-----------------------------------------------#TaleWorlds.DotNet.AutoGenerated.pdb@{B9349EA48A53478584194F82B29D770D} (1): 100663331:0[17:11:12.494] Assertion ignored, gonna create a dump. How to Reproduce:
- Apply cloth physics to a mesh by using a _clo helper mesh (that is properly mapped to the original mesh).
- Save the cloth physics.
- Share the generated .tpac files with someone else.
- Have that other person launch the editor with the module containing the cloth physics.
- Use a different mesh and a different _clo helper mesh. Same result.
- Have someone else apply the cloth physics. That person can then load into the module without problem, but other people now crash.
- Publish the module and share the resulting EmAssetPackages and AssetPackages with the other people. Same result.
